Re: Ready the polygraph! (Keep All Your Promises reviews)
So there are three of you who claim to have voted for Ross. This concerns me, and I will run some test on the voting code to see if it is eating votes somehow. Thanks for speaking up.

Yeah, and I only got one vote too. I'm sure something is amiss.

I do too. I know that at least I voted for myself and we still got zero votes!Manhattan Glutton wrote: I call shenanigans.

In addition to voting for Ross, I also voted for Bingy Swirly and Suckweasel, both of whom got zero votes. Were they BOTH late and my vote was struck?

Re: Ready the polygraph! (Keep All Your Promises reviews)
Questions as I try debug a possible problem.
1. How many of you are lying, or possibly mistaken?
2. Of the rest of you, when did you vote? I mean was it early (first 24 hours), middle, or late (last 24 hours)?
Thanks, SPUD

I definitely voted for Ross. Probably in approximately the last 24 hours. No more than an hour after posting my reviews in this thread, anyway.

No actual votes from me this week, just smart ass comments.Spud wrote:Questions as I try debug a possible problem.

Re: Ready the polygraph! (Keep All Your Promises reviews)
I voted late - the night before the deadline.
If I had a dollar for every one of my songs j$ has called a 90s pastiche, I'd have $1 for every song I've written.

I voted in the middle somewhere, shortly after posting my reviews. I also voted for Barton Stink, Cthonic Youth, State Shirt, Mr Mann, myself and Lucky Spoon at the same time.

Re: Ready the polygraph! (Keep All Your Promises reviews)
I voted Wednesday night [EDIT: the 27th](Eastern time zone): definitely for Architects, myself, Jeff Robertson, and Torrentz, and probably for King Arthur, Ross, State Shirt, and Therman. I was working from my alphabetically ordered reviews, which I'd written several days earlier , and going down the check list for the randomly sorted titles, so I might be misremembering one or more of the probable votes.
[EDIT} No, wait -- I think I was up in the middle of the night, that is to say, the wee hours of either Wednesday or Thursday, when I voted. Much as I am now. "Old people, Jesus!" as LML put it.

Re: Ready the polygraph! (Keep All Your Promises reviews)
Regarding WTFBBS and their song. Well, they had me join after they submitted. I'll promptly be working with the boys on their mics/mic skills. Also, we'll be playing around with a couple of softwares not normally used for producing music, but the results I've gotten so far sound nice. Thanks for all of the constructive criticism, those of you who reviewed us. We'll definitely be taking it to heart, and hopefully, by our next submission, we shall be loads better. That, and you can't fail when you add a girl to the line up

Re: Ready the polygraph! (Keep All Your Promises reviews)
I voted on the Tuesday right after submissions, which was before the dunce cap was put in place (hence why I voted for late entrants)
Also, I definitely voted unless my computer glitched. I'm a little OCD about checkboxes and submit buttons.

Re: Ready the polygraph! (Keep All Your Promises reviews)
OK, from what I am hearing, it sounds like this was probably human error. Mine, not yours. Votes that came in before the dunce caps were put on might have been lost in the shuffle of removing some songs from the voting ranks - I may have accidentally reset the votes. I also started to update the day before, and then realized I was a day early. Stupidly, I left the update interface up on my computer, effectively freezing the votes some 24 hours before the voting period ended. Dumb, I know, and when I update to the next fight, the votes from the previous fight are lost, so there is no retrieving them. The good news is that it appears to be all totally avoidable human errors, and not some code issues with the voting system.
I apologize for the inconvenience, especially to Ross.
Who's the dunce now?

Re: Ready the polygraph! (Keep All Your Promises reviews)
So, if I understand correctly, this is all because some twits couldn't submit by the deadline, causing you to shine down pity upon them and, in the process of being graciously benevolent toward lesser beings, accidentally wipe out the votes?Spud wrote:Who's the dunce now?
