Yes please, let's avoid judging entries solely based on the artist's rep.
From spoken word to actual singing, I can screw up any style with style.

Try entering your song under the name "Johnny Cashpoint". See if it helps.Rone Rivendale wrote:Yes please, let's avoid judging entries solely based on the artist's rep.

I dunno, you were the one who made it to the finals last year.Reist wrote:Do you guys prefer an artist writing in a varied manner for the sake of each song as an individual entity - or similarly-themed entries for the sake of a cohesive album? I have two songs written for this one, and the song I think is better by itself just doesn't have that Therman sound.

Can we update the first post in this thread to say "send your song" rather than "send a link to your song" then?

Re: Nur Ein V: Round Zero
This is not an auspicious beginning, but I tried starting from the production side, thinking the song would come naturally, eventually -- and it did not. A massive force-out of a song. But it is done, and I'll have it mixed and sent by 9pm PST.

Niveous - what's the preferred bitrate for nur ein songs? I'd imagine 128-192, but is it an issue if we go higher?

Re: Nur Ein V: Round Zero
SF rule applies: Please use the lowest bitrate that sounds decent.
Use your best judgment, Andrew.

I'll probably be coming down to the wire.
