Do you swing?

Do you swing?

Automatically converts any straight-rhythmed song into a swing rhythm. Pretty neat. It doesn't seem to be available for download anywhere yet though.

Enter Sandman sounded the best to me. Swing metal.

Man, those are great! Enter Sandman was particularly good. I also liked what it did to the drum fills in Money For Nothing.

Someone fed SuperFreak through it. Genius.

I got a copy of it built. I tried feeding my "and counting" through it. It had no idea what to do with that.

I'd like to hear my "not in this lifetime" with Steve's sax in it. It's already got a funky beat, so it might sound cool, swingin'.

Turns out that there's just something wrong with the software and on my Linux box it's not able to save anything out. Tonight I'll try installing the Mac version, which might work better.

Okay, the Mac version works pretty well.

"Run Faster" sounds horrible this way, at least until the words start, and then it just kinda sounds okay at best. The drum rhythm is probably a bit too strange for it to deal with well.

"Baby, Be Quiet" sounds nothing like the actual swing version that I sometimes practice. Again, the drums seem to completely screw it up. In this case it sounds kind of Aphex Twin-y. I like the results.

For some reason, "Sorry To Inform You" is basically unchanged rhythmically, except the sound got all screwed up. Again, the complex drum beat probably screwed up the beat detection so it didn't know where the beats were.

It had a much better time with "Sometimes It's Hard To Keep Yourself Moving".

Surprisingly, "And Counting" came out pretty good!

I just realized something. This swing thing is only fun if you know the original version.

How about this?
(but it really fails badly on some songs)

lulz. That was interesting. The snare hits sound really cool. The vocals sound out of time.

This is fun. I like what it did to my SongFight entry "Fight the Sea".

I don't know what made me laugh more, you saying "What have I done?" or Jute Gyte set to swing. :D

What happens if you swing that which is already swung?

Not much, as it turns out.
