6/19/00 was the first fight ("Golfpunk Drives a Cadillac") and it's now 10 years later & almost 600 fights later and the site is still full of amazing music & great people.

Happy Anniversary Songfight!

On a more personal level, when I found Songfight in 2003 I was ready to give up on making music. The community was amazing, full of creativity and good advice and I gave doing music another shot. Now 7 years later, I've made over 50 songs on SF, thrown 2 Songfight concerts, participated in contests like the Nur Ein and met a ton of brilliant musicians. Thank you so very much Songfight.

He must not have written in his birthday when he signed up for the forum, but I happen to know that today is the birthday of Erik (of 15-16 Puzzle fame). Happy birthday, Erik, and come back!!!

Thanks guys!!

I've been in Berkeley for about 3 weeks. Still kind of staggering around blinking at things, but I'm gonna break out the synth and the tascam 488 portastudio this week. I was able to get a ten-pack of Maxell UR-90's at Walgreens! Hope I'm on the boards again soon - smack me if I'm not! ;-)
