Ok, so i hereby confirm. But m unsure what you mean by supplying a link to a catalog. Am i supposed to pick a specific list of tunes or are we just talking about the songfight archive?

king_arthur wrote:Hey, Jon Eric, Caravan Ray, the idiot king, Niveous, Octothorpe, roymond, and Ross Durand: I am still waiting for either a PM or a follow up posting here from you to confirm that you still want to participate in the cover fight. Please also provide a list of (or a pointer to) the "catalog" of songs you would like your cover-er to pick from.

I know some of you have posted in this thread, but didn't specifically say you were in or provide a catalog... and I probably even missed a post from one or two of you. But that's the list of people I'm still waiting for confirmations from.

And anybody else who wants to climb on board is welcome, as well.

Thanks,

Does anyone object to my participation?
Generic wrote: For whoever does get my name, I would (in the interest of keeping it simple) advise sticking with the songs done by "Jon Eric" (or "Jon Eric feat..." or "Jon Eric & ..."). I've entered under other names, which are all listed in my Songfight artist page, so just use your judgment if choosing from the others. Almost universally, when I enter under another name, there's a reason.

Also, if I had a question, I would probably ask the Covermaster, who could then anonymously route it to the appropriate recipient.
How many times did I need to restate interest before it was considered "official?"

Eric Y. wrote:Yes, you qualify. Make sure you link to where somebody could find your unsubmitted songs. That way, if someone wanted to definitely do a song that has a Song Fight! title, they have options. If somebody else wanted to do any song of yours, regardless of what the title is, they would also have that option available. But, it seems like the only real qualification to joining is, "be a Song Fight!er", which you have fulfilled.
OK, the songs one could choose from are posted here:

Okay, coverfight assignments have been sent via PMs. I tried very hard not to look at the PM texts as I was copying and pasting them so I wouldn't know who's covering me. If the PM text you received looks like it's the wrong one, please PM me right away.

All 22 participants listed in the first post should receive assignments. If you wanted to be in and I missed you, or if you didn't sign up but would like to join in, PM me, and we'll work something out.

Have fun!

I liked it when it first supported bands, then went through the period of not liking it, now like it again because it's become even more band friendly. BUT, it sure is heavy at the loading on my old 933 MHz computer, but fine on my new laptop.

My assignment works wonderfully for what I decided beforehand. Now I only have to find some time to actually tweak and record it.

A sneaky sexual move to illicite a look of absolute suprise on your lady friend. When your wife/girlfriend/flatmate is sitting peacefully on the sofa (watching TV) sneak up behind her with your cock out. Slap her head with it. The look of astonishment will be priceless

Jarrod's mum nearly died when I gave her a stunned mullet the other day. His Dad is trying to kill me.

Hm, I just realized that some of us might have issues with our intended target showing up on our last.fm profiles due to repeated listening. So uh, don't look at peoples' last.fm profiles if you want things unspoiled.

Goddamn, it's nice to get into this 'fighter's catalog.

Oh, and it looks like the Primitive Screwheads catalog is fair game now for whoever's been saddled with my sway-backed nag of a catalog
