Thanks for the suggestions. So it's basically just about absorbing the sound. Makes sense. My last place was carpeted with a couch and various other items with a 7 foot ceiling. The new place is hardwood flooring, minimal furniture, and a vaulted 8' to 10' ceiling. So, I'll get out the old blankets and give 'em a whirl. I did put a curtain on the window which helped a little, so I can already see it in action.
And on the song.... nothing like procrastination! I'll be pounding out the vocals this weekend though!
