i like where i'm going with you
it's not the same avenue
i like the way you're looking at me
guess i just like being seen

i've got this theory you see
your taste says a lot about me
what flavor frosting preferred?
cut it up in quarters or thirds?
but what do you know
about chocolate, vanilla or marble swirls?
are you a fondant, lava or creme-filled girl?
what is your favorite kind?

do you take it decadent?
or do you prefer it simple?
you see the eyes are not the windows they say
it's all about how you taste these days
and i wanna know
about chocolate, vanilla and marble swirls
about fondant, lava and creme-filled girls
what is your favorite kind?

do you take it with coffee or tea?
would you take it anywhere with me?
do you like lemon or coffee or any of these?
with a fork, with your fingers, however you please
just tell me
about chocolate, vanilla or marble swirls?
are you a fondant, lava or creme-filled girl
carrot or sponge or velvet red
short or tall, baby or on the table or bed?
what is your favorite kind?

Once I met a girl
I thought she might be mine
So I told I her I loved her
but that was just a lie

I took her by the hand
thought she would make me a man
but that was also a lie
I don't feel much like a man

I met another girl
touch her burned like fire
you only get one chance to be that
kind of woman's desire

I took her by the hand
I thought I's being a man
Oh, that was a lie
I don't feel much like a man

One day she said
"I don't love you no more"
So I gave her back the key and
headed out the door

Oh sweet freedom
I thought it'd make me a man
oh, but that was a lie
cause I was always a man

yes I was always a man
I was always a man
I was always a man
I was always a man

Cakes by Johnny Cashpoint
Vocals, keyboards, guitar - Johnny Cashpoint
Bass, drums - Andy Balham

Wakes up in her forties
Somewhere in the suburbs, with a
Flatpack for a husband and a
Robin's nest of dullards
Dreams of disappearing
Knows too well it’s too late, yes she
Knows its Church Bazaar and she
Accepts her Village Fetes

Not sure she will make it
Sure knows how to fake it
Somehow she can take it
As long as she keeps on baking

Sleptwalked through her thirties
Twenty years un-dreaming, now she
Wakes up in bright darkness, counts to
Ten - no need for screaming
Smile as smooth as icing,
Mellow melodrama, yes, it's
Plain that's she's a flower, that's been
Picked for Aga Saga

Now she's sure she'll make it
Doesn't need to fake it
She can always take it
As long as she keeps on dreaming
As long as she keeps on baking, but ….

Why's nobody tasting all the
Cakes that she's been baking? Stale and
Silent, clingfilm crippling, bet this
Never happened to Mr Kipling ...

Cakes
Words and Music by John Kloberdanz
From the future Broadway show "Buffalo Love Bite"

Johnny K (male lead):
Spoken: Hey Buddy, Hey Lady, Hey anybody, c'mere!
Can you help me?
You see, I've got this problem, and I don't know what to do!

There's the beautiful young lady over in flat 14 C
I've got the hots for her but she just doesn't notice me
Her birthday is tomorrow and I don't know what I should do
'Cause I want to prove I love her, and so I'm asking you

Refrain:
How many cakes should I bake to make her know I care
How many pearls and diamonds can one young lady wear
I would climb a hundred (thousand) mountains for her birthday recipe
How many cakes should I bake to make her fall in love with me

I could bake her plain vanilla but that's what any chap would do
Chocolate is my favorite with homemade goodness through and through
Betty Crocker couldn't top it if I put sprinkles on the top
Pudding in the middle, tell me when I should stop

Refrain

Carrot cake and ice cream, cupcakes lined up in a row
German chocolate, angel food, I'll make every cake I know
Crumb and tarts and coffee, gingerbread and Christmas fruit
Bundt and sponge and cheesecake, tell me what else can I do?

Final Refrain - sung by Johnny and the entire cast

Kid: "Hey Mister, what about a wedding cake?"
Johnny: "A wedding cake? Whaddaya think I'm crazy?"

Cakes - Paco del Stinko

I like them when they're bouncy, and oh so light and fluffy
I pack'em in and never stop, because they just can't stuff me

Golden chocolate spongey angel pound or even short
Chowing down on baked del-ish-ees is my passion
Not a sport

I stomp to chomp just like a chimp, with a bundle of bananas
And when I get my first daily bite,I hear church choirs sing huz-annas

Cakes by the pile always make me smile
I stack'em up, and knock'em down
I'd be guilty at my trial

They are best when they are fresh, but cool to the touch
There's never a time when I won't say yes, there never is too much

I love cake
I love every single kind-that they ever could make

I don't care if there's no frosting,or even no whipped cream
To fal asleep on a bed of cake, would knock the stuffing from my seam
Bringin' the stink since 2006.

"We're sad you're leaving after only one year, John."
"But sir, my name is James and it's been three."
"Well, John, the girls arranged some cake, so please drop by the break room at 4:30."

let them eat it

"Sign this card, it's for that guy who's leaving."
"Thanks, I'm pretty sure that card's for me."
"Are you going to this thing that's at 4:30? I hear that there's free cake."

let them eat it

Cleaning out your desk becomes so easy, if you just get up and walk away.
"It's only 3 o'clock where are you going? What about your cake?"

let them eat it

Cake
Schlimminy Cricket

My first mistake was sleeping on my break
for when I go under I can't help but wonder
what I may find when I awake
For mercy's sake, I'll give you a shorter take
of this awful matter, and then you will scatter
and call me a venomous snake

How are these different from wafer or tart?
All I can say is to bake them takes heart.
How are these different from cookie or scone?
The most I can say is the key's in the bone.

Each crumb and flake invited them to partake
They said it delicious, my pastry so vicious
they never knew what was at stake
Gone Lou and Jake
My conscience begins to ache
A vision so chilling, my coat room is filling
with parkas no one will retake

Now officer, officer, lenient be
I don't know how all of this happened to me
It's true that there's candies and berries in some
but keep an eye out for odd finger or thumb

my first mistake was sleeping on my break
for I am inexpert at dealing with blood
and I do fear the wrath of a punishing god
and my somnambulation makes me act quite odd
and I'm never the same when I wake

Cakes
Lyrics and music by Jon Wilson

V1
The first time that it happened, she thought that he was gonna say good night.
But instead, he held her mouth shut and pinned her hands down so she couldn't fight.
And the next day as she tried to walk, her mama knew but just could not believe
that the man that she so dearly loved could do such harm and so much to deceive.

V2
So her mama comes to ask him and he swears his little girl fell from the bed.
And she believes the man she loves and all the lies he put inside her head.
Meanwhile, all the little girl can do is try to love him just as well.
After all, he said he'd kill he if she cried out, ran away, or tried to tell.

CH1
Now her mama's in the kitchen listening to the songs on the radio.
And her brother's at the pool hall bragging loudly about a father he don't know.
And the little girl tries to hold the tears, but even the doll she holds falls as she shakes.
'Cause she knows that he'll be coming back while her brother's out and her mama's baking cakes.

V3
A couple years have gone since then and Sunday afternoon rolls back around.
She knows her side will meet a fist if mama ever thinks she hears a sound.
So she grabs her doll and holds on tight and tries to brave the wait 'til he returns.
And wonders why her daddy just can't love her and why she never learns.

- CH1 -

BR
With curtains drawn and windows up, she smells the sweet perfume of home made bread,
but wonders if it's better off in the oven or better off in the bed.
Just then as she heard her daddy drive up and pull the truck around,
an angel grabbed her by the hand as she jumped and her body hit the ground.

CH2
And her mom was in the kitchen listening to a song on the radio.
And her brother was at the pool hall bragging loudly about a dad he didn't know.
Now her mama tries to hold the tears, but even the doll she holds falls as she shakes.
'Cause she knows her doll's not coming back this time while she was baking cakes.

The first time that it happened, she thought that he was gonna say good night.....

Cheers to a new holiday
One with the promise of CAKE
A chance to re-arrange fate

Come
And
Kill
Everyone (x2)

Get on board, there's nowhere to go
Come prepared cuz everything's closed
It's stress relief like you've never known
Wash your hands when you're done

Come
And
Kill
Everyone

Run and scramble
Beg and ramble
Many have tried

CAKE is neither good nor evil
Only implied
A slice enticed by human vice
For bloodied desire

It's not about survival or need
Dispose of those old notions of greed
Childish thoughts of flesh for a feed
We're only in it for fun

Come
And
Kill
Everyone

Women, children tired of livin'
Only in light
Old man, young man
Grab you arms
Walk into the night

Human bonding, hearts responding
Means we're alive

Come
And
Kill
Everyone

Sadly we're still learning how to use recording equipment so the mix turned out a little not good. My friend Jason wrote the lyrics and ssang. It sucks you can't hear him well because I thought he did a good job.
