Holy fucking shit. I just realized that I would be in NYC, by coincidence, on these days.
If I had a dollar for every one of my songs j$ has called a 90s pastiche, I'd have $1 for every song I've written.

As for the new venues: AWESOME! I'll be happy to rock out the festival on Saturday (so long as my bandmates are up for it, too, of course.)

So, uh, what's the situation here, and what's the status on the sets? I've been ignoring this thread until I realized, hey, I'll actually be there.

You can check page 9 of this thread for the latest info on the venues. To recap quickly, it's looking like we'll be in Williamsburg (Brooklyn) Saturday from 3-7 and then again Sunday night. Set length depends on how many people want to perform and how much overall performance time we have, of course. Most of the SF!L's I've been to have had 15-20 minute sets on average. It'd probably be pretty safe to plan to play 5-6 songs. You could prepare some more in case there is extra time. Also, there will be the live fight on Sunday night, which is always fun. I think at this point people are also saying which day they'd like to perform. The final set order will probably get determined at the very last minute, though.

Apparently, I have to be in Houston June 6-10. I may get back the 9th, but have to assume it'll be Friday night at this point. This obviously impacts my plans for Friday. Frank, I've sent a pm so let me know when you're arriving.

I'm coming up there for a recital and to visit a friend from college. I'm staying longer, as she goes overseas herself on the 10th.

I'm coming to Songfight now, if that's good. :) If it's all booked up for the playing with the pretty piano and all that (I've been reading upon the thread with that); then I am okay watching everyone else play. But I am going to be there, regardless.

I may need a buddy or someone to call or something, or a checkpoint-of-operations... because I get lost and vague in travelling-places. My friend leaves town on the 10th but it would be nice to be able to find everyone for the hanging-out-stuff and the meeting.

DJRD and That Guy added to the list of attendees. Yay! SF! Live is lots of fun, and everybody I've met through it has been very nice and welcoming, so I think you newbies will enjoy it.

Did some stuff yesterday with the Firehouse Space and the venue will be good to go for Sunday. I figure it's a great place to do the Livefight. We should get a good recording from it. More news by the days end.

Do we still need a "back line" (1 bass amp, 1-2 guitar amps) for Sunday's show at the Firehouse Space?

Also, what are the times for Sunday? "In the evening" isn't specific enough. We at least need a definite start time.
