The Butterfly Effect (Director's Cut)

So this is a bit out of date, but I saw it tonight, and really enjoyed it, even though there was more than a little bit of the 'MTV Thriller' about it. I never saw it at the movies, so I don't know how much it's changed (and there are two different endings in the extras, so i don't know which one they used, if they changed it for this at all). What did you think?

I think this movie was underrated. I didn't like the previews and reading I found some bad reviews.

BUT

I rented it and really enjoyed it. I really like the premise.

i thought it was an amazing movie... really wild... how all the parts sort of twist in... just some really wild stuff
i thought it was really well acted and written...
i thought the director's cut ending was deffinately the better one

i thought this was really good. i don't like ashton kutcher, but he was good in this.

i really didn't like the directors cut ending. the original ending was much better. then again maybe i'm just a sucker for a happy ending.

i just liked the director's cut ending more... cause it seems to build up and work better with the overall storyline... specially with the whole palm reading part of the movie...

i like happy endings 2... but i just didn't think the happy ending suited the movie very well...

So was the 'passing in the street' ending how it finished in the first release ending? If so how did they get there from the final memory 'trip'?

I liked the ending of this version, it made sense, but I did feel sad that this character who I really liked didn't really get his just rewards, 'cos that's a massive sacrifice not to be remembered, in film-script terms; I wouldn't have minded a less happy ending than the 'passing in the street' version but more than what the Director's Cut offered....

I like the original ending better because it was to me...the logical choice. Almost, stay with me here, the more realistic choice.

LAME. If you want to see a piece of entertainment focusing on "the butterfly effect" check out the Treehouse of Horror when Homer is sent back in time by his broken toaster. Much more entertaining and not as predictable.
