Steve Durand - Clean sound. I like it. Man, that could use some static or white noise or something to make it sound like a 78. I like it. My grandfather would too. I almost did a song about a wagon circle. I'm glad I didn't because you rocked that genre just now.

DJ Ranger Den - I love painting and this song reminds me of a sweet one I saw at the Met last summer. I can't remember the name/artist, but that doesn't detract from the memory at all. Good job!

Juliett Echo - Guitar. Quality. ...HOLY SHHHIT!! I wrote "circle me, square you, we function together" before I erased my lyrics and went "meta." JESUS .... I just freaked myself out.....
Again, I'm glad I didn't finish with this genre because you would have divided me in half. Or devoured me whole. Whatever.

Don't Ask Don't Tell - Orbit! nice! Christ. You should cover a Rush song or two. "OF SAAAALESMEN!" The whole track is solid but imo the vocals rule as king of the track. I picture the singer as a 5'5" bald white guy who may or may not have <5 tattoos. Am I right?

William and the Psychos - Lively number. I always respect that. I would have over-compressed the whole track but I think this is LESS loud than it should have been. and I love the trickle-down thing at the end! I love a clever outro or wrap up. Overall I like it! +1

I wondered what kind of song structure could be 'circular' - aside from the obvious ones like a round, or repeating a motif at the start and finish. I thought a call-and-response song, where the caller and responder(s) exhausted a set of permutations as to who sang which sentences, circling each other until completion - the circle commonly represents completeness. In the event, I did that for the choruses - otherwise there would have been sixteen verses.

But honestly, if you like the entry, vote for it. If some psychological dilemma makes you uncomfortable doing so, vote for someone else, and work on resolving the dilemma the next time you have insomnia.

I'm not even sure who I voted for - it would have included Juliette Echo, Ross Durand and Scott Gesser, and I didn't vote for myself.

Steve Durand - I liked this. Very different from what I expected from Steve. This type of song doesn't require a great voice, and that's a good thing for Steve. (use lyric forum) (voted)

Scott Gesser - Fran Drescher would love this. This boarders on the line between entertaining & annoying...for now it's leaning towards entertaining. Nice work. (voted)

Didn't Ask, Didn't Tell - Lyrically it didn't grab me, the vocal performance was ok, but in the end it didn't stand out.

DJ Ranger Den - I enjoyed the lyrics through the first part of the song, and I'm kinda glad your changes didn't make it into the song you entered. It was too slow for me, and as usual, there were lines I just didn't care for or completely get later in the song.

EggNogAdam - 3 votes was your goal, and you got 9. I don't know how...I mean meta songs should be kickass to get votes...cause there are too many of them in these type of contests.

Juliette Echo - Like the concept, but the lyrics didn't really flow as much as stumble along. Musically it held my interest.

Kapitano - Interesting experiment, but not exactly something I would sign up to participate in.

McCalum - Nice to see someone take on the topic that I imagine inspired the title. Not much replay value, but I would suggest a quick YouTube video of this.

MC Who Izzy Feat: The Standardized Individual - The vocals sounded like shit. Especially "you say circle him once or twice / when he's been left to his own devices / you say circle him once again / but I won't have his blood on my hands" You really need a better mic or something.
