Re: Circle of Titles II
If you've been downloading the tracks, you may want to redownload mine, as I've just uploaded a revision.
Also, if you've been listening, you may want to relisten. The new version has vastly improved vocals.

I might be able to come home at lunchtime and have a listen.
How does it work?
Once installed, fire it up, File -> Open Network, and put in the URL of the fight. Here's one to tide you over:

I totally had to sleep yesterday / last night. Am working on mine now. Shall see what happens. I'm not feeling very creative but things continue to improve. At least it has been written for quite some time.

Re: Circle of Titles II
I woke up this morning with Jon Eric's song in my head. Took me a minute to figure out what it was since my subconscious doesn't know the words either.
Bup du-dut-duh bup duh in Texas...
Of note:
It wasn't a nightmare so that's good.
The version in my head still has some pitchy vocals and I'm not sure how to upload the new one.
That is all.

Re: Circle of Titles II
Milo, that was both very gratifying and very disappointing to hear. I probably shouldn't have uploaded the first version at all, but I was pretty determined not to miss my own deadline (again), despite the fact that my week was too busy to give it any real time. Ah well. I'm sure that with repeated exposure, the better version will eventually break through your firewall (skull) eventually.
Hey everyone! DJ Ranger Den's track is up on the site! That means BLT is the only straggler!

I'm pretty sure BLT is in a category of his own... (in best movie voice) somewhere out there, beyond professional musician and amateur schlub, there is Billy.Billy's Little Trip wrote:I want to give both of you the HUGE'est non gay huggeeze in the world.BBABM wrote:if you're a professional musician, you probably have more problems than all of us amateur schlubs combined!fluffy wrote:Nice to know professional musicians have the same problems as us mere mortal amateur schlubs.

Re: Circle of Titles II
Alright, we've got fifteen out of sixteen. We're going to have a listening party.
There's a regular fight due tomorrow morning. If Spud posts the fight in a timely manner, Irwin will be streaming it for a listening party starting at 7pm PDT*. If Spud doesn't post it that day, then Irwin will stream Circle of Titles II for a listening party at that time. Either way, stuff gets streamed and we meet up in the chat room to talk about it. Sound good? Just join the chat room and there will be a posted link that you can use to get the stream.
*7pm PDT = U.S. West Coast. If you're in CDT like me, that's 9pm. If you're on the East Coast (EDT), that's 10pm.

Re: Circle of Titles II
That was cool last night. Thank you to everyone else; your song sounded better than mine... And thank you for all the nice comments you made about my song. I'm glad you liked my story, cause that's about all I had. It made me chuckle while writing it. I imagined a more foghorn leghorn voice, but it was impossible to get anything said in the time I had allotted for talking. So you get the voice that changes accents every verse. Thanks again.

Re: Circle of Titles II
I was glad to see so much enthusiasm to do the Circle of Titles listening party, even after we'd finished with the Songfight listening party. It was a little more sparsely-attended, but I'm glad we got to do it.
Honestly, I'm tremendously impressed with the overall quality of the songs - there's not a single bad one in the bunch, and in fact four or five tracks out of 15-so-far that will earn a permanent spot on my playlist.
My top 5 are Mike Lamb, Real Sign, King Arthur, Jan Krueger, and DJ Ranger Den.

I took it upon myself to de-stiffify Jon, but it looks like BLT may actually make it right? I guess I'll hang on to my track a bit longer and give him a chance.
