It's the weekend, and apparently McAussie has decreed that we are going to try that bar we liked again last time I posted here. Perhaps several of us can make some trouble this evening.

This forum really wants for a "Like" button. (I think I've just become to inculcated in the social network thing.) Hi-freaking-larious.

And tonight, it's my turn. Let's see what happens when you mix strangers, alcohol, musicians and geeks with card games...

What have I done??? I wish I could say I was drunk enough to post here last night, but...
If I had a dollar for every one of my songs j$ has called a 90s pastiche, I'd have $1 for every song I've written.

Just had a couple glasses of a really yummy beer:

http://allagash.com/beer/year-round/curieux
Allagash Curieux was the first foray into barrel aging. Curieux is made by aging our Tripel Ale in Jim Beam bourbon barrels for eight weeks in our cold cellars. The aged beer is then blended back with a portion of fresh Tripel. The resulting beer is soft with coconut and vanilla notes, with hints of bourbon.
Someone gave it to me as a gift and I had forgotten that I had it. We had some friends over for dinner tonight and Erin reminded me we had that beer around, so we chilled it and popped it open. I highly recommended it. Tasty and strong (for beer, 11%).

I jsut made myself a couple margaritas and now I'm getting emo as I finish up my late "Ashes".

Making a pizza as soon as the oven heats up... missed dinner completely.

Turns out, it's very fun, but pretty tame.

I learned I'm better at reading people than I thought, but I'm terrible about convincing others of my observations, which is weird to me. We played "Werewolf" : http://eblong.com/zarf/werewolf.html Tremendous fun. I pegged the wolves about 70% of the time, but never got anyone to vote for them.

But yeah, nothing hilarious to report. Move along, intoxication is over and the un-fun process of rehdyrating has begun.

Any beer brewed in a Belgian style is a great start. The 10% abv is like icing on the cake. :)

I just looked and they don't have a retailer anywhere close to me, so I'll have to pay for shipping. But I do have a specialty lick'her store near me. I'll ask him if he can special order it. That's kind of what they are known for. In fact the sign says. "if we don't have it, we will find it". We shall see.

Sounds good, Lunk. I'll give it a go, it appears as though theres a place not too far off that sells it. I had a beer recently with a higher alcohol content, and found it just bordering on too much. But very delicious. http://www.dogfish.com/brews-spirits/th ... te-ipa.htm There's a 60 minute brew that is better, in my opinion. Both very nice, though.

Agreed on both counts! I shared the beer with a friend of ours who lives in Belgium and her Belgian husband, and they approved of the beer. Enjoy!
