Christo and Jeanne Claude's "The Gates" in NYC

Just some information on The Gates, an art installation going up in Central Park this month, which will be in place Feb 12 for 16 days. I recommend you check it out (though it will be hard to miss).

This is funded entirely by the artists, and all manufacturing and labor is being arranged locally. All materials will be recycled after it is taken down.

Who out west went out to see their Umbrellas or Running Fence? Did anyone see the Reichtag or Pont Neuf? Cool stuff.

Art. Go figure.

HA that would be cool. But it seems they are shredding the damn things. Or something. I got a swatch of fabric...
