Re: Live Recordings Requested!
So who's in charge of the audio recordings from Saturday night? Would that be Spud?

Yeah, I'm starting to wonder myself. At the very least I'd like to remember how the hell my melody went.

I'm in and submitted on this one.
Got to experiment with playing guitar and harmonica at the same time for a live-in-studio recording.
Way harder than people make it look.

Re: Live Recordings Requested!
Because of the way I do my thing, doing a live recording would be next to impossible. But I may try it anyway if I can come up with a good tune by tomorrow.

As I'm sure you are all well aware, the things I made up on the stage came as a complete surprise to me and I didn't sing the words on the page in front of me. This was true for much of the weekend in Seattle.

This recording might be worse than my live performance.
If I had a dollar for every one of my songs j$ has called a 90s pastiche, I'd have $1 for every song I've written.

Re: Live Recordings Requested!
So, we recorded what we thought would be a junk track to the same drum beat all the way through, vocals bass and guitar all at once. The intention being we would punch up the drums, then re-record all three elements live along with the new drums. But we ran out of time. Well, we squandered our time and waited til the last minute. So what you got is our live recording that was meant to be replaced, with some better drum loops added later, all in all a couple hours work but it's still pretty cool. At least I didn't have to redo the ad-libbing at the end, I was worried that would just sound forced. And before anyone says it, yes, the riff does sound a bit like a certain 80's one hit wonder's hit. Oh well.

Well, of course we are all aware of these things. But some of us don't get the details; we want to know more. Online news and entertainment outlets have been less than helpful regarding the details; I suspect your PR machine has been actively squelching the story. The Huffington Post article only briefly alluded to the "singing in tongues" divine inspiration/demonic possession aspect of your performance, while Fox News, of course, played up that angle. The Seattle Post-Intelligencer blog did, however, raise the idea of a correlation between the "rare outbreak of thunderstorms" and your neurological episode. Your adoring fans want to know: WHAT REALLY HAPPENED?RangerDenni wrote:As I'm sure you are all well aware...

well if you end up watching a video of me and go insane with the sheer horror of it, I can't be responsible if you end up in the tabloids.Sick and Wrong wrote:Well, of course we are all aware of these things. Re: Live Recordings Requested!
It's not that Brown Word can't do a live track, it's just that... well I was slacking this time. I did get my live kicks with WreckdoM though. Raw WreckdoM this week folks. Mightily so.
I will have my ears on as soon as y'all's songs are up. Can't wait to hear the live-ness!
