Konnichiwa Songfighters!

Last week, I posted a thread about reviving Songfight Radio and I got a little response but not much. Surprisingly that didn't discourage me. I really think doing a podcast again about Songfight is what I wanna do. I have some free time to put towards such an endeavour. It will fill the void left by my failed blog efforts (daily blogging isn't my thing and I took the long road to figuring that out). It keeps me in touch with the Songfight archive which I think is great because I enjoy digging through the archive for hidden gems. And it gives back to this community. So, I'm going to do some podcasting. I've got a dedicated set-up in my office. I have a ton of great songs that I want to play. There's one thing I'm missing though- webhosting. I used to have a website but once I split with my wife, I let that go by the wayside and never went about seeking out a new website. So my question is:

What's a good webhosting site? (preferably an inexpensive one)

If only there was a wiki that captured the various discussions about web hosting...

(I use Dreamhost, and still very happy. Lots of storage and bandwidth for a good price)

Yep, I love Dreamhost. That's also what hosts Songfight itself. Really cheap, really reliable, lots of features, and generally awesome.

That's because you aren't going to sit still allowing video till kill the radio stars, to total extinction. hip hip hair ehy! :P

You know the old saying about doing the same thing over and over expecting different results? Why not think outside the box a tad for this podcast. Give a slight change to the format. I feel I should start the think tank with a suggestion, or I'm not part of the solution.

So I'll just start by throwing this out there: Have a topic of the day. But NEVER religion nor politics.
Example. I read this this morning and thought YAY FOR SCIENCE! No more making excuses, science says I have a good reason not to cuddle after sex. :P
http://now.msn.com/why-men-fall-asleep-after-having-sex

So take a topic like the above and chit chat about it between songs. It can just be you breaking it down with humorous anecdotes, or with outside feedback. Times have changed a lot since your last podcast. You can now have live feedback via twitter ect during your podcast. "BLT from Califon'eye'eh askes, "if I have a 3some where I was the meat, does that entitle me to one of them making me a sammich before I take a nap?""
I'm sure the smarty pantsers here will make good suggestions on ways to do it best.

So there you have it Niv. I know what you're thinking, so you are welcome. :D

I figured ask the wealth of knowledge here on the forum. You are my wiki. Since you & Fluffy both mentioned Dreamhost, I'll look into it.

Of course I'm not going to do the same old podcast over again. That was over half a decade ago. I wanna do a podcast but not necessarily a rehash of that podcast.

Good! Done and done! :P

Oh, maybe call in interviews. "this week, we have music man and philanthropist BLT answering the questions we've all wondered about forever. The meaning of life, liberty and the pursuit of sandwiches"

I would love to add in some interview aspects. Many ideas are swirling around in my head.

See there, got the ol' juices a-flowin'. :)
I'd imagine they'd have to be prerecorded, but so what. I think most are that I've heard. They could even be a chat conversation that you save, print and read the conversation if need be. But it is more entertaining to hear the interviewees voice.
