Version of SomeSongs with Song Fight! archive songs?
So I was thinking about adding some stuff to the Jukebox, like playlists, "favoriting" a song, etc. I already wrote all that kind of stuff for SomeSongs though. So it occurred to me, what if I set up a version of SomeSongs that I then piped all the Song Fight! archive songs into somehow? Would that be useful/objectionable to people? I think some people are against any system of comparing the songs other than the votes they received in the fights. But I also know some people want to have a way to keep track of the songs they like, to make playlists to share with others, etc. etc.

I'd be for it, personally, speaking just as a user of the site.

Yes. Would also dig a radio feature that can play randomly from selected artists, or from the library excluding selected artists. And waffles. I'd like waffles on demand.

I want to like songs on Facebook.
Thinking of seeing if Spud wants to work on that for the regular site too... could make an OGO for every individual song's URL, since they are darn static (haven't changed in years and years y'know?).

You can Facebook like individual songs on the Jukebox currently.

I haven't made it as easy as I'd like it to be yet. You have to go to the song's page, which you can really only get to easily by going to the list of all songs or searching for songs... I'm sure you know how all that stuff works. If you're not expecting people on non-mobile browsers to be able to play the songs right in Facebook then it's pretty easy to set up.
But it'd be great if rather than just brainstorming about things people want maybe people could respond to my post, specifically about setting up a version of SomeSongs and piping the archive's songs into it.

I will refer to my previously posted feelings on this, and you can do with them what you may. Everyone knows that I'm the neighborhood Luddite, so take it with a grain of salt. I am close to retirement in any case, so who cares what I think? Your idea, Sam, is not as problematic as the so-called "panel" concept that this was a response to.
