Awww, he's got his nappy
He's read all of his books
He's had his milk and now he's tired
You wanted to tell me
You looked right in my eyes
You walked out the door
You left me with a surprise
You
Dodged
A bullet
Didn't you?

Re: Dodged a Bullet
I've never been on a pontoon boat, but I've spent lots of time in a canoe though.
I'm chillin' at the igloo tonight, snuggled up tight,
Like a bug in a rug with my boo... She's an inuit that's into it,
She loves me tender, she loves me true.
She's got a brother named Nanook, and he's tryin' to be cool,
But he's...
This one dude from my crew, he asked me, "how do you do?"
I said, "I do alright... just between me and you,
I've got over 4 G's off in my shoe...
It's why I'm limpin' like a pimp, and livin' like a tycoon."
Sometimes the moon rises at noon,
Even still find me high at the saloon...
Meetin' with a couple of bros for some brews,
Maybe tryin' to holler at a ho or two.
Mama Mia! What's all the hullabaloo?
You got tobacco goo all over my brand new suit!
What the fuck? Do I look like a spittoon? You fool!
...and I'm due to be in a hot air balloon soon too!
Chug-a-lug, chug-a-lug like Roger Miller, then I'm hittin' the loo...
Flush the commode, King of the Road, it's time to scoot.
Rinse my jacket, glad I got the black and tan houndstooth...
I'm hurryin' up 'cause if I'm late she's goin' to give boot...
No time to check the parachutes...
I give her the box of chocolates, jumped in the basket, and away we flew...
I told her, "Roses are red, violets are blue..."
and even though I said the rest, my baby already knew.
...And then it happened... Mid rap...
She stopped me right there and said, "Who's curly, blonde hair is that!?!"
I said, "Uh, Baby...No, Now Listen!" <I had to duck>
Another haymaker swing and a miss... And I think I'm fucked,
as she pulls the pocket knife that I gave her as a gift,
I'm hoppin' around for my life...
I'm tellin' you man, the chick was swift!
...but, she was not too bright...
She's comin' at me with some lift,
I shift my weight to the right...
She hit the rail with her hip,
and I watched as she fell plum out of sight...
The 'chute was moot... The tombstone said "RIP"...
I guess you might say it was not her night.
I've got a new life now...
I built a chicken pen, and a hen house.
The rooster's in the yard, this is where I lodge my pullets...
Man, I sure Dodged A Bullet...
And even though Nanook came after me, and I had to dislodge his mullet (sent him home)...
I still feel, overall, well... that... I really Dodged A Bullet
Let's get it funky now y'all... Horns!
Tight harmonies, swells, then stabs, and swells again!
...What do you mean, "no horns"?...hmm, well...?
If you find yourself havin' been snipin' at a Viper, then you've bulleted a Dodge, and I have nothin' to say about that.

I could show you the good life
But it would only be a lie
Lives down inside of you
Because your youth will never Die
I won't duck and run to heaven
Lost again but I'm never lookin’ back
Dodged a Bullet!
Lost again but I'm never lookin’ back
Dodged a Bullet!
I love your face now
you're the moon that softly shines
Won't run away from you
just like I did last time
I won't duck and run to heaven
Lost again but I'm never lookin’ back
Dodged a Bullet!
Lost again but I'm never lookin’ back
Dodged a Bullet!
sometimes the weak become the dawn
Shining like suns undiscovered
I'm alive singing amen
You’re an artifact unrecovered
I could show you the good life
But it would only be a lie
Lives down inside of you

Dollar Bill & the Inkpoints - "Dodged a Bullet"
featuring j$ & Heuristics Inc.
Photos don’t exist from those six months I had a mullet. No
Pictures to be rifled through of those fashion disasters that
Plagued my teenage years. Oh, thank the Lord I’ve dodged those bullets
A courtesy that’s not afforded to those poor e-bastards. Un-
Wanted items from my past laid out for all to see?
I’d rather be another old bloke moanin’ ‘bout the net!
Don’t worship at the altar of the Church of Awful Me -
It’s with regret computer will not let you just forget. But
Back before the world wide web, the cure for losing face took,
Shape of stay in darkened room with a first person shooter un-
Til embarrassment had passed; now brave new world of Facebook
Means every dumb mistake once made will turn up in your future.
Infamy, oh infamy, the internet is after me
I may have dodged one bullet but it’s from an SMG
And should I dodge whole magazine, out comes the BFG,
Stocked with ammo made up from my past indignities.
Photos someone took, me making 3am drunk faces,
Now they’re up on facebook. I de-tag but still they linger. That
Joke you made on forum that got misconstrued as racist
Archived for all time in Google Cache’s icy fingers.
That
Dreadful temper tantrum when stuck in a crowded lift,
Captured on a I-Phone, looped as animated GIF, and
Then sent viral as promotion for event on Twitter -
Our transgressions float around the net, like ghostly litter
Like an end-of-level boss, you’re dreading what’s awaiting
Every time you boot up. It’s the shame that’s truly modern.
Reminds not who you want to be but who you are, verbatim -
Dignity, it seems, the only thing that we’ve forgotten
Infamy, oh infamy, the internet is after me
I may have dodged one bullet but it’s from an SMG
And should I dodge whole magazine, out comes the BFG, so
For the good of all, no more computer games for me.

DODGED A BULLET
Lyrics by JoAnn Abbott
Terrified
I watch him coming toward me
See his eyes
Filled with determination
But what chills me to the core
Is that glimpse of something more
I can see the pity in his eyes
And I am petrified
Just try and relax - This will all be over soon
Strapped down on his table, cold
The smell of disinfectant in my nose
He puts the needle in
And darkness begins
What will I see when I awake,
if I awake
I don’t want to die
I have so much more I wanted to do
God, give me another chance
I know I wasted so much time
I want to live
I see his eyes
He’s standing over me
And starts to smile
The pity’s gone now
Only happiness is in them
As I wake up and look around
“We couldn’t find the tumors
That we saw in the ultrasound"
Looks like you dodged a bullet

DODGED A BULLET
DJ Ranger Den
each time i think
I'm okay when I'm sleeping
I change my mind when I'm awake
sometimes I'd like
to say something beautiful
maybe that's just time to waste
so all of my days
just die of old age
Maybe you're wondering
when will it do something?
- poking the microscope slide
And if the train seemed like
it ever would go somewhere,
maybe you'd go for a ride
but when it moved
you just ran to hide
but I'd say you dodged a bullet
because living your life to the fullest
...gets exhausting.

Re: Dodged a Bullet
When the beam fell
At the building site
It missed his head by inches
So the girl at home behind the window
Waiting for that bike from him
Received it
It was the fastest bike that she had ever been on
It was the greatest summer she had ever known
And it missed his head by inches
Billy Graham came
With his Jesus show
But no one took much notice
And instead that gorgeous afternoon
Was slip n' slide and barbecue
And baseball
It was the fastest ball that she had ever swung at
It was the farthest ball that she had ever hit
And it missed his glove by miles
She's rounding third all tan and smiles
And that beam had missed his head by inches
Who knows how we might shape the years that follow
When we simply dodge a bullet or a beam
And who cares if this is how it really happened
It's a pretty song
A good dream
In her new house
All the deeds are signed
But he is still inspecting
Cuz if any house is holding her
Well it's his job then to make damn sure
It's sturdy
Then he smiles and says "You found yourself a good one"
And he slaps his wrinkled hand against the wall
And he helps her husband fix the leaky plumbing
And she helps him up the stairs so not to fall
Cuz twenty-seven years ago
Someone said "Look out below"
And it missed us all by inches
At the building site
It missed his head by inches
So the girl at home behind the window

Dodged a Bullet
The atmospheric view’s the best
When you’re a kind all-seeing eye
You cull the guilty from the rest
Above their heads you gently fly
And in the guilty head a bullet it will lodge
And in the guilty heart a bullet it will lodge
And in the guilty head a bullet it will lodge
But if you’re innocent, just dodge
Like cupid’s arrow in reverse
A warantless kiss out of the blue
Some crimes are bad but most are worse
But in the end all debts are due
And in the guilty head a bullet it will lodge
And in the guilty heart a bullet it will lodge
And in the guilty head a bullet it will lodge
But if you’re innocent, just dodge
I often wonder how it works
To separate good guys from jerks
I guess a guilty conscience slows the sinners down
While the righteous reflexes know not to stand around
A tidy system, it works every time without flaw
It obsoletes the rule of law
And in the guilty head a bullet it will lodge
And in the guilty heart a bullet it will lodge
And in the guilty head a bullet it will lodge
But if you’re innocent, just dodge
