Complain about your schedule. Apparently people like that sort of thing.

Happy DNA Day.

QotD: if money were no object, what one piece of musical equipment would you buy?

I've wanted a 60s Fender Jaguar since I was in middle school. Yeah maybe because of Kurt Cobain.

A brilliant electric guitar...perhaps an ES335 or something like it. I never filled that spot very well over the years, so I'd love to drop five grand on a classic old guitar with excellent DNA. All the recording gear and effects don't really matter unless what's at the head of the supply chain is top notch and the playing experience with a good guitar in hand is priceless (as I feel my Lowden acoustic is). That said...if a recording studio (even just the room) counts as "one piece of musical equipment" then I would have to go with that at this point.

If I could have one really expensive piece of gear as a gift, I think I'd like a really sweet tube condenser microphone. Something in this category: http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/C12/
Ken's Super Duper Band 'n Stuff - Berkeley Social Scene - Tiny Robots - Seamus Collective - Semolina Pilchards - Cutie Pies - Explino! - Bravo Bros. - 2 from 14 - and more!

Ooh, good one... I can't decide, either a sweet hollow-body Gibson like what Roymond mentioned, or a really nice acoustic, or ... a grand piano if I really wanted to get the max value.

I think I'd prefer the Vistalite Bonham kit myself.
