Looking Glass by Tubba Gutz
How many caps it take to give me powers
through the looking glass, thousand miles an hour
Wish I could find myself
but I can't so I reach for bottom shelf
Until I don't remember what is time
out of mind, Dylan drunk on two bags of wine
2chainz drunk on two bags of dime.
It's like I'm through the looking glass
it's got nothing to do with class
rich white girls showing their ass
to poor white Catholics lonely after mass
It's like I carry stress inside my teeth
fractured sad and drunk for days or even weeks
bottleshocked until I finally fall asleep
naked strangers staring I can't even speak
Naked strangers swearing I can't even sleep
swollen up from all the shit I try to keep
in a scratch I made on my leg
powder in powder through to my head.

Re: Nur Ein VIII - Looking Glass
I bought my daughter a mockingbird when she was 1
Thought she would hear it and sleep to the sound of its tongue
She put its head in her teeth now the birdie don't sing
What do I buy her? She swallowed the whole fucking ring
Bitch broke the looking glass
Bitch broke the looking glass
So I kept my promise and bought her this fuckin-ass
goat goat goat
Every evening she screams for the goat in her bed
She falls asleep and the beast walks my bedroom instead
it chews on my blanket, it chews on my fingers and toes
But I'll keep my promise, it's better than buying a bull
Bitch broke the looking glass
Bitch broke the looking glass
So I kept my promise and bought her this fuckin-ass

Looking Glass
The Tydon Docks
Last Thursday night I went down to the hotel for a parmagiana and a schooner or two
I saw in the front bar a lady who looked sort of lonely so I said, "Luv, how do you do"
As you do
I sidled beside her and offered to buy her a drink so that we could acquaint ourselves more
But she just slapped me in the face leaving me to ask "what the freak d'you do that for"?
And she said:
"Look in the mirror
Just look in the mirror
Just look in the mirror
You stupid old count
You're fat and you're ugly and smell like a brewery
Just flip off home or get kicked in the nuts"
So I wandered off home but got only two blocks before I began gasping and wheezing for air
I was dripping with sweat and a pain like a vice griped my chest, it was really more than I could bear.
It's not fair.
I was a man who ran marathons now I can't walk round the block there is something so wrong
but deep in the back of my head I could hear a small voice that was singing a song
And it sang:
"Look in the mirror
Just look in the mirror
Just look in the mirror
You stupid old count
Just point a big looking glass
At your huge wobble arse
You great disgusting
Big fat tubbagutz
Just look in the mirror
Just look in the mirror
Yeah look in the mirror
Just look in the mirror
You're bald and pathetic, Type 2 diabetic
Completely incognisent, grossly incontinent
Misshapen and hideous
Fully obnoxious,
A cock like a peanut
Repugnant,
Malodourous.
You really are a count

Looking Glass - Paco del Stinko
Looking glass, looking glass, what do you see
Do you spy anyone fairer than me
You say you do, but how can that be
The idea that it's true is pure fantasy
Looking glass, looking glass, what do you spy
Have you found someone more handsome than I
You say you have, with nary a try
You must be mistaken or surely you lie
When I look into you I only see myself
And when you talk to me you never offer me help
Looking glass, looking glass, tell me the truth
Am I as dashing as I was in my youth
You say you see, with the sight of a slueth
But your eyes are as old as a dinosaur tooth
When I look into you I only see my self
And when you talk to me you never offer me help
Looking glass, looking glass, here's your last chance
Am I the grandest you ever did glance
You say I'm not, and you won't change your stance
I dare say I must end our life-long romance
I dare say I must end our life-long romance
I dare say I must end our life-long romance
I dare say I must end our life-long romance
Looking glass, looking glass, what do you see

Looking Glass - Frankie Big Face
When you’re in the eye of a looking glass
Stop and take a second pass
Maybe you’ll see someone else
And if you find your wishes refuse to do
Exactly what you want them to
Conjure up a different spell
Maybe the stars align you’ll find a clearer path
Or maybe the sun will shine a light on all you ask
(But you must ask)
When you’re in the eye of a looking glass
Stop and give a second glance
Maybe there’s a secret inside
But if you find the mirror’s stopped reflecting
Some dots have stopped connecting
It’s time to draw a different line
Maybe it’s time to take the chance of a lifetime
Or maybe it’s time to brave a dance in different time
(Go ahead - you’ll be fine)
When you’re in the eye of a looking glass
Stop and take a second pass

Looking Glass
by Sky Pup
They didn't invite me to the ball
They didn't invite me to the ball
My looking glass sees all
My looking glass sees all
They didn't invite me to the ball
Let's see what I spy through the looking glass
From high in my magical tower
I see all the pretty princesses playing
And dancing and having a ball
They didn't invite this old warlock
How dare they? The nerve and the gall
My looking glass sees all
My looking glass sees all
They didn't invite me to the ball
Someone must pay for this insult
My limitless rage knows no bounds
I'll ruin this party they're having
They'll magically gain 50 pounds
That'll show 'em
They didn't invite me to the ball
They didn't invite me to the ball
My looking glass sees all

Jon Eric - "Looking Glass"
Dear Jon in the mirror,
I'm proud of the paths that we took
I hope that you're better off than I am
Or at least better than you look
Sometimes I feel like I'm only as good as the money I hold in my hand
Sometimes I feel like I can't pull my weigh for reasons I don't understand
[chorus]
Meanwhile on Earth
We'll all be waiting for this time to pass
Life isn't always as good as it's looking
On this side of your looking glass
[mirror Jon]
Dear Jon in the mirror
I'm happy to see you've lost weight
I hope you made Allyson happy
I hope it's not too late
Sometimes I feel like I'm only as good as the women who choose to be near
Sometimes I wonder if there's more to life than living alone or in fear
[chorus]
Dear Jon in the future,
It's a good thing you finished this song.
How did we do? You know what, don't tell me
I'll know for myself before long...
I hope that you found some way to get over your string of unfortunate luck
And I hope that you get nostalgic sometimes, but know better than to get stuck
[chorus x2]
This side of your looking
This side of your looking
This side of your looking glass
Dear Jon in the mirror,
I'm proud of the paths that we took
I hope that you're better off than I am
Or at least better than you look

Re: Nur Ein VIII - Looking Glass
he's heading out tonight
it's mostly just polite
he could stay in and be alone
and he would be alright
but he hasn't seen his friends
in quite a few weekends
it's probably time
but he's not the guy they usually know
he's had too much to drink, and so
he sounds and looks the same
he has the same name
but he's looking... looking at his glass
he toasts himself to sleep
the whiskey isn't cheap
it's not the life he would choose
but it's one he'll keep
so he wakes and finds a smile
then he drives the same odd miles
to get to work
but he's not the same guy as yesterday
he's tired with not much to say
he sounds and looks the same
he has the same name
but he's looking... looking
look at the glass
what do you see?
is it the life that you want it to be
now close your eyes
imagine what you will
what wold you give to have this fantasy come to life?
but he's not the guy they usually know
he's had too much to drink, and so
he sounds and looks the same
he has the same name
he seems familiar
but he's not quite for sure
he's smiling quietly
but you don't know what he sees
because he's looking... looking through a glass
it's mostly just polite
he could stay in and be alone
and he would be alright

Looking Glass
by WreckdoM
There's a town that lies hidden in yonder hills,
And there's many strange tales they won't tell.
What secrets lay silent in those hidden waters,
In the lake of the town in the hills?
Whose gaze is that you see staring back,
As you ponder your reflection in the pool?
Whose soul doesn't rest; Who whispers in the wind,
By the lake of the town in the hills?
Come lay with me beneath the trees,
This earth forever our bed.
In this shadowed land, you'll take my hand,
We'll dance the waltz of the dead.
I once drifted in without coin to spend.
Lit a fire and made camp by that bank.
The mist did stir, a vision appeared,
A sweet voice was calling my name.
She held my head, gave me bread,
Kisses and wine to my fill.
When morning drew breath we settled to rest
In the lake of the town in the hills.
Come lay with me beneath the trees,
This earth forever our bed.
In this looking glass land, you'll take my hand,
We'll dance the waltz of the dead.

Looking Glass - by Boffo Yux Dudes (and Chris Cogott)
Some people wear glasses
Or use a microscope
To see what they want
Just to give ‘em some hope
I put on my beer goggles
One bottle at a time
It changes my vision
Till everything looks fine
Chorus:
They say she's no looker
Well, normally, I'd pass
But I've been here drinkin'
I'm at critical mass
Now I see things diff'rent
And I don't wanna be crass
But I found my true love
At the bottom ... of a looking glass
Now she limps on over
And sits down next to me
Her extreme halitosis
Nearly knocks me off my seat
Well, it might be the warts
Or the hair on her chin
But there’s something about her
That causes me to grin
They say she's no looker
Well, normally, I'd pass
But I've been here drinkin'
I'm at critical mass
Now I see things diff'rent
And I don't wanna be crass
But I found my true love
At the bottom ... of a looking glass
She looks like my ex-wife
(Or is that the drink?)
Who left me so lonely
I can’t hardly think
When I’m in this state
They all look like my Sue
Let me please bring her back
Just an hour or two
They say she's no looker
Well, normally, I'd pass
But I've been here drinkin'
I'm at critical mass
Now I see things diff'rent
And I don't wanna be crass

Looking Glass
Lyrics by Lee Escandon
Music by Escandon/ Phillips
VERSE 1
Your father has so much to do
Your mother has big plans for you
If you don’t color outside of the lines
You know all the right things to say
Till the guests will at last go away
Safely backstage in a rage they’d find you
Undermine you
PRECHORUS
All that must be
All that trust be
-trayed by gilded times.
CHORUS
When you’re alone with yourself
And the makeup is up on the shelf
Worlds away, what will you say to the looking glass
Combs out all in a row
And your wardrobe laid out head to toe
Worlds away, what will you say to the looking glass
VERSE 2
He seems an agreeable find
But not quite what you had in mind
So much to see there’s a million things
What fortune brings you
They’re helping you out of your gown
Your bedding turned down like a frown
Nothing to do but submit and suffer
With another
PRECHORUS
Who is outside
By your lamplight
Writing words in rhyme
CHORUS 2 (same as Ch1)
CHORUS 3
When you’re alone with yourself
And the makeup is up on the shelf
Worlds away, what would you say to the looking glass
Combs out all in a row
And your wardrobe laid out head to toe
Worlds away, what would you say to the looking glass

Looking Glass
by Merisan
Tired and weary
striving to grow
a soul’s reward
are the seeds that we sow
tethered together
slipping like sand
get in the life boat
I’ll lend you a hand
and I won’t let go
no I won’t let go
until we both reach
the safety of shore
with both feet on
the ground
Oh wicked wilderness
calling us back
can we survive this
modern attack?
I know that I am
where I’m s’posed to be
but pavement and power lines
are all I can see
and I won’t let go
no I won’t let go
until we both find
the safety of shore
with both feet on
the ground
From the looking glass
I can see
all the things that we want to be
and the pages of
our history
and I won’t let go
no I won’t let go
until we both reach
the safety of shore
with both feet on
the ground

LOOKING GLASS
DJ Ranger Den
years pass behind each day
as our history rewrites all around us now.
let's pretend we believe the same things.
just say sorry. show up tomorrow.
...save some more face
if I could see this fate through a looking glass
I would give it all back just to get back to Me
colder now - but that's how I feel
just because...you lost a war
- doesn't mean forget the battle
- doesn't mean neglect to fight
celebrate the cause for your heart!
if I could see my fate through a looking glass
I would give it all back just to get back to Me
take what you came with
be awake for it and
make
your own
shape
if I could see my fate through a looking glass
I would give it all back just to get back to Me

Balance Lost
She said "I'm no detective, what do you expect me to find beyond this looking glass?"
So I said "Have some faith in me. There's more than you can see with your eyes, more than you can perceive."
So test me, question me. If I don't know I'll work it out
Until I've got an answer, until I've got an answer for you
This pale blue dot is all that we've got here and now
But sometime in the future there's more (if we ever get there)
People who are smarter who worked so much harder than me
Gave me things I didn't know I'd need (maybe I don't)
What about scriptures and all of the pictures we made?
Painted by artists like Raphael
Just stories and rumours created by humans and men
Some with a cynical end
So test me, question me. If I don't know I'll work it out
Until I've got an answer, until I've got an answer for you

Re: Nur Ein VIII - Looking Glass
I don't remember walking here
But we both know this dance
Our feet move on their own
I count it wrong and miss a step
Soon enough, nothing's left
So i stare through this glass alone
Sick of the staring
Like something is tearing me
Apart
But take it on faith I look before I fall
And all i want
Is to tear the looking glass off the wall
Tear the looking glass off the wall
I don't get off that easy
Not just taking all the blame
Might as well examine the scars
Look like I've went ten rounds
Feel like at least fifteen
But no one seems impressed so far
Swear I'm not lying
You don't bother trying though
And alll the signs
Have left out a burning bush so far
I let the mirror fall
Explode into a hundred stars
Explode into a hundred stars
Don't think I'm stalling
Don't think I'm calling it close enough
I just think I deserve a break
I'm torn apart
But by now I know who my enemies are
This looking glass
Has burst into a hundred stars
Burst into a hundred starts
And won't tell me where you are
But we both know this dance
Our feet move on their own
I count it wrong and miss a step

Looking Glass
by Ross Durand
First thing in the morning, you don’t look that good
You’re a little hungover, just like I thought you would be
You’re looking right at me
And I don’t think you like what you see
Purse your lips pick the right shade of red
Splash some cold water on your face and your head as you say,
“Let’s go face the day.”
And you turn off the light as you turn to leave
I’m just a reflection of what you already believe
The sun has set and you’re all set to go
You turn to me to check if your dress is too low, if your eyes
Are the right shade of blue
Curl your hair, get your makeup just right
You never know what could happen tonight, I can see
You’re dancing tonight without me
Waltz
Pull your earrings out with those tears in your eyes
I’m still here for you at the end of the night and I’ll be
Here in the morning
You turn off the light cause you don’t like what you see
I’m just a reflection of what you already believe
I’m just a reflection of what you already believe

Looking glass by Carlo Bruno Jr.
Wellcome back
The house was empty
No guitar. No painting.
Frozen and lonely days
without you
'til the next time
I know, I'll do
Here comes the time
to break again
Your looking glass
I wonder why you love my obsession
It´s not funny, just demential
Help me telling me an explanation
Or put again that hammer right on my hand
Here comes the time....

Almost floating no chance we will drown
