Happy International Tuba Day

QotD: What are some of your favorite long song titles?

Most bands use brevity when it comes to song titles but not all the time. so, what are some of your favorite 6 word or longer song titles
Here's some of my faves:

"It's the End of the world as we know it (and I feel fine)" (R.E.M.)
"I Wanna Get a Mohawk but My Mom Won't Let Me" (AFI)
"I'm Not Gonna Teach Your Boyfriend How To Dance With You" (Black Kids)
"My First Kiss at the Public Execution" (Blood Brothers)
"I Like You So Much Better When You're Naked" (Ida Maria)
"A Brief Moment of Clarity Broke Through the Deafening Him, but it was too late" (Red Sparrowes)
"That Summer At Home I Had Become The Invisible Boy" (The Twilight Sad)
"I'd like to see 1984 redubbed with this in the soundtrack."- Furrypedro.

Yes, happy International Tubba Day everybody!

Grindcore luckily offers some great long song titles. A couple favorites:

"Repercussions in the Life of an Opportunistic, Pseudo Intellectual Jackass" - Agoraphobic Nosebleed

"No We Don't Want to Do a Split Seven Inch with Your Stupid Fucking Band" - A.C.

"Your Kid Committed Suicide Because You Suck" - A.C. (inspired by "Tears in Heaven")

and black metal can join the party, too

"Where Darkness is Lord and Death the Beginning" - Inquisition

and then for the sake of eclecticism

"Listening to Otis Redding at Home During Christmas" - Okkervil River

Niveous, are you talking about long song titles we love, or songs we love that have long titles? Not quite the same thing. For instance, Fall Out Boy have a song called "Our Lawyer Made Us Change the Name of this Song so We Wouldn't Get Sued." I love that title, but the song doesn't really live up to it.

I would have to think pretty hard to find a song I actually like with a long title.

Everyone knows Primitive Radio Gods' "Standing Outside A Broken Phone Booth With Money In My Hand," right?

Oh, maybe this one counts: Warren Zevon - "I Was in the House When the House Burned Down."
What's the threshold for a "long title?"

Pink Floyd - "Several Species of Small Furry Animals Gathered Together in a Cave and Grooving with a Pict"

NOFX - "We Threw Gasoline on the Fire and Now We Have Stumps For Arms and No Eyebrows"

and speaking of Fat Mike, this song from the Fat Wreck Chords compilation "Short Music for Short People":
Mad Caddies - "Mike Booted Our First Song So We Recorded This One Instead"

...

oh yeah, and possibly one of the best titles ever,
B.J. Thomas - "(Hey Won't You Play) Another Somebody Done Somebody Wrong Song"

I don't really remember what the song sounds like, but I always enjoyed the title:

Apparently all of the longest titles in my collection are classical compositions, the longest being "King Gesar (1991-92)_Part I - Calling on the Power of Goodness in Men's Hearts_ An Invocation to the Imperial Drala, Gesar, King of Ling"

I also have tracks from a CD that came with "Japanese for Busy People," such as "Lesson 3 - Speaking Practice: On the telephone with a taxy company's lost and found office" and "Lesson 7 - Speaking Practice_ Asking The Daughter Of A Colleague About Her Experience With Ballet After Seeing Her Perform"

Other inflationary title lengths are along the lines of "Welcome to the World of the Plastic Beach (feat. Snoop Dogg and Hypnotic Brass Ensemble)" and "Raiding The 20th Century (Words & Music Expansion) feat. Strictly Kev, Paul Morley & a cast of thousands..."

Ignoring THAT, the longest things seem to be:

Carson Robinson - We're Gonna Have to Slap the Dirty Little Jap (and Uncle Sam's the Guy Who Can Do It)
Paul Starr - In Which The Key Of C Major Is Bludgeoned To Death By A Huge Lollipop at 143 Beats Per Minute
Dr D.X. Neutrino - The Direct And Literal Translation Of Altered Neural Synaptic Activity To An Electro-Sonic Archetecture, Version 0.2 Beta
aleksi virta - 0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000................................000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000

Oh, and who can forget Plat's famous Yahoo! Answers songs, "At work, when its hot, my sweat drips on hamburgers. Should I serve them anyway and not waste food?" and "I am buying my first laptop for school. I need to know about screen size, should I get 17" or smaller?"

I propose an "Asking The Daughter Of A Colleague About Her Experience With Ballet After Seeing Her Perform" sidefight.
