The Greatest Song Ever Written

Post by Caravan Ray »

OK...I know that this is a stupid question

It changes daily. Or even by the minute.

BUT

Every now and again a song strikes you as being really awesome.

Tonight while walkinging my dog I heard:

Souljacker (part 1 ) by The Eels

Is ther a better song than that?

(Sorry ....I am on a iPad, otherwise I would link to a clip)

BEST SONG EVA

According to me.

What are your BEST SONGS EVA?......z(for this week anyway)

@CR. I too really like EELS, Mark Everett has inspired me repeatedly through the years. That particular song is my kind of music. Riffy and groovin'. It didn't chart high in the US, as most obscure bands that aren't pop crap do not. Then I heard it when I watched the movie "Hot Fuzz" and said, hey, that's the EELS in a Brit flick, cool. Then later found out they do well in the UK. Then it came up again in the show "United States of Tera" on showtime and thought, damn, producers must love this song.

I've heard EELS songs in a lot of other movies. I know they've had songs in at least two of the Shrek movies, I was happy to hear Beautiful Freak in Hell Boy when poor sad Hell Boy got dumped, sad. Several more I can't think of but they ALWAYS seem to be perfectly fitting as if the scenes are written just for the songs.
