What's this?
That's right, an obsessive Transformers fan who has changed his name by deed poll to Optimus Prime and writes songs about the Transformers going to sort out Baghdad. He has recorded a couple of 'song parodies' as well ...

this was actually a news item a while back in "news of the weird" but there was no photo, so that's pretty cool.

Yeah, that is neat. I had noticed the name megan in the last few years popping up on a bunch of girls I randomly met. So, before typing it in...I guessed by their ages that it would be around the late 80's maybe early 90's...and I was spot on.

Wow! You meet a lot of under aged girls then. Weird and gross!
Anyway, this thing is really cool, especially for a bored, pregnant lady at work! Thanks Bill!

[snipped from boingboing]
Everquest -- now with pizza
Everquest has added a simple in-game command to order pizzas while playing. I'm surprised that they don't pre-populate the pizza-ordering form with the info from your Everquest account -- usually games have such crazy, one-sided terms of service that the privacy implications of such a thing would shred like wet kleenex.
You're in luck - pizza is just a few key strokes away! While playing EverQuest II just type /pizza and a web browser will launch the online ordering section of pizzahut.com. Fill in your info and just kick back until fresh pizza is delivered straight to your door.
This is getting crazy. William Gibson's world draws ever closer....

Funny. I don't remember online pizza ordering in 'Necromancer'. maybe if when it was delivered, it was jacked directly into your skull instead ...

har har har....
I was just referring to the ever-diminishing need to leave your house whilst experiencing an alternate reality online. But I'm sure the techonology you speak of isn't far off...

I think the pizza delivery service was in Neal Stephenson's "Snow Crash," and it's "Neuromancer" not "Necromancer."

What you've never read Necromancer by William Gibson? It's his best book, far better than that neuromancer rubbish ....
I can't even claim that C and U are next to each other on the keyboard ...
