One of my kids goes off to camp today and the other leaves Saturday...for four weeks! I love July. This will be a special summer (they all are, but we're not talking about the others right now) what with a new awesome job, July being quiet at home, helping a friend configure the sound systems and live performance configurations in his planetarium, SFL Austin and a family trip to Amsterdam (staying on a canal boat). I know I'm usually a defeated pessimist, but I'm feeling good these days.
What you'all doin' this summer?

I'm looking forward to a long weekend for 4th of July, and of course to all of you guys coming to my home turf for Song Fight Live, but that's basically all I've got going on this summer, thanks to a lack of vacation time at my job (had to spend half of it before my Medical Leave of Absence kicked in earlier this year... bad) and a tight budget.

My plans are to continue to work on my big project at work, be visited by my parents the week of SFL, and to hopefully finish up the last arc for the second book of my comics. And hopefully keep my wrists from getting too bad as they are threatening to do again.

I'm working on a book and a couple big recording projects. Also there is our live event and I am going to Canada for a wedding next week.
