Much like these boards, my office is currently a ghost town. Lots of people work from home on Fridays anyway, but also the local metro rail line, BART, shut down today because the workers went on strike. I'd estimate that the office is at 10% capacity. I normally take BART, but, I can also bike or scoot or drive to work. Today I biked.
QOTD: How do you get to work?

I walk to work. Takes me about 30 minutes to walk 1.5 miles. About a 1/3 of my coworkers are "working from home" today because they ride BART to work. At least a couple others who also take BART found other ways to get here today. I feel like it is pretty unfair, but what can you do?

I walk.
.......from my kitchen with a cup of coffee to my to my home office. It's around 25 steps from my kitchen and that walk leaves me exhausted, so I usually lay on my couch and take a nappy nap to start my day.
j/k, no morning nappy naps. I'm generally wired in the morning and that's when I get the most done. When I have to go to a job site, it depends on what I have to do. If it's just normal day to day estimates, job sites, physical work, I drive my Chevy Silverado. If I have to take a customer(s) to a completed job of mine to show them pool finishes or to pick out materials for their pool and backyard, I drive my Lexus ES-350 because it's a 4 door sedan and nice. Even though my Silverado is a 4 door extended cab, it's awkward taking a husband, wife and 5 year old to a job I've done or tile showroom in a truck. But I prefer just meeting them at said showrooms so I can drive my truck. I always try to get all materials sold via brochures and samples, which is how I do it 90% of the time, but I still get those every so often that want to see finished work or touch and feel the stone, tile, etc and my album of pictures aren't enough.
