yeah, they're this all black punk band. i saw them when i went to the suicide girls burlesque show in denver. these guys came out and were messing around with the amps and setting up the drums and stuff, and i saw a bunch of punk stickers on the bass drum head, and figured they were stage hands or something of the sort for that venue. but in a few minutes they came out and put on a really great punk set. those were the shirts they were selling

I'm planning a banjo on my left tricep, a mandolin on my left bicep, and a guitar between those. I think the coolest plan is a giant accordion across my upper back. My cousin is determined to get a penis tattooed on his arm. I told him to get some kind of symbolic thing, and since he just finished the Da Vinci Code, I think that's what he'll do.
Someone let Craig know about this thread.

Heh it's actually a symbol that means unity in diversity, and it wasnt my idea to post this as much as Eric's but Leaf had mentioned his wife's so I said why not. It was just something I got done when I was 19 I have yet to see it on anyone else's body (knock on wood). Its not nearly as cool as the others that are posted but it will do and when I am 80 I will have something to laugh about.TheHipCola wrote:looks cool...kind of like a couple of gecko's that were flattened by a truck....
i'm just kidding, but what is it?

P.S. I dont actually talk like that post, (it was eric posting for me) I am usually more uppity.

It's just me I suppose - but I've always been of the opinion that unless you are actually the captain of pirate ship - then the whole tattoo and body-piercing thing is all a bit silly.
EDIT:

...though I've got to admit that Geoff Wreckdom's Space Monkey is pretty damn cool

Here is a picture that I found and posted about a year or so back. It is not a tattoo that graces my own body but, damn it, it's still funny.Caravan Ray wrote:It's just me I suppose - but I've always been of the opinion that unless you are actually the captain of pirate ship - then the whole tattoo and body-piercing thing is all a bit silly.

Also it is not hard to imagine the Octothorpe guys as captains of pirate ships. In the interests of vanity and ontopicalness here is a photograph of my very own left wrist.

No offense, but they look fake.c.layne wrote:i've had some tattoos done, and i've just been curious to see what other songfighters might have.
Sober, you should get the banjo tat put on your knee.
Get it? Banjo on my knee?
Nevermind.
I myself am afraid to get the mark of the devil permanently applied to my body. I do however have this wierd birthmark that looks like the shape of Africa when viewed in the mirror. Oh yeah I got a second set of birthmarks on my left arm that kind of look the Hawaiian Islands. Kind of.
That's as close as I get to body art. I'll see if I can post them.

I didn't see a designated thread for introductions, so since I have a little ink, I thought I'd do it here. I just found out about songfight a few days ago through Jim of Seattle (we work for the same company) and am completely hooked - what an awesome concept - I'm totally impressed with many of the tracks I've heard so far. I'm not sure how long it will be before I have enough courage to post a track, but I certainly intend to eventually. As of right now, I wouldn't say I've ever actually written a song. Right now I'm just a noob with Cakewalk, a few guitars, and (like most songfighters) a genuine passion for music.

Killer tat, though.
The idea of getting a banjo on my knee is incredibly appealing.
Also: Caravan Ray - I AM the captain of a pirate ship, goddamnit.

I think, as a matter of courtesy, anyone planning to post a photo of their arse-crack, should preceed it with a warning along the lines of:
