It's still March 20th on the West Coast

Complain about your schedule. Apparently people like that sort of thing.

It's still March 20th on the West Coast

Post by inevitableguy »

I know I've been a bit quiet around these parts, but life has been hectic. For those of you that don't know, I've been spending the last year and a half or so separating my life from my ex-wife's. As of a few hours ago, we are finally, officially divorced. It feels good to be moving on. Maybe I can actually enter a fight now.

So, it's a cliched QOTD, and it's been asked a lot of times, but: Any big changes in your life? How did you cope?

(For the record, I'm celebrating with tequila.)

I've been spending the last half a year or so separating my life from my ex-wife's. I just have another year to go until feeling good huh? Good luck with your stuff, anyway.

Coping is difficult. Not in a 'I can't do this' sort of way - more a 'this is weird' sort of way. I have started playing cricket regularly, and usually play live a few nights a week at open mic things. Trying to record more, but still not doing as much as I would like to. And of course - all the ladies of Toowoomba are exited to meet an eligible bachelor who is an international recording artist.

Yeah, it seems like a lot of us separated and/or divorced in the last year. I am also in this club.

Quite a transition, but hopefully, it is all for the better. I coped mostly with booze and TV. I was also able to go see more live music, which was a positive. Having to pay my entire mortgage is still a burden, but at least I am able to refinance and keep the place.

Exact same story over here, guys, except replace "The last year and a half" with "The last six months." And replace "tequila" with "Bourbon." Bulleitt is awesome. I've also been writing a lot of songs about the process. I'll probably have a "Divorce album" to share with you guys sometime soon.

All of my instruments are officially moved over to the new place, including the piano. I'll be recording again soon. Maybe we should do a Divorced Songfighters mega-collaboration?

This was news to me. I'm really sorry to hear it, Ken, but I hope that moving on can help you make some necessary positive changes in your life, as seems to be happening with me.

This was not a good year for Song Fighers' marriages. Sorry to hear about all of yours.

At least Werner hasn't requested a legal emancipation from me as far as I know. But he's been getting really pissed at me for how I'm making him take PILLS because of his back problems, so maybe I have a nasty surprise coming.
