this title - I am not sure what to do with it. but I really want to do a song so I'll figure out something.

I am also curious about what "For Rachel" means ...

Yes, is there anything people should know about Rachel while planning the lyrics?

Word is a good friend of DT's just went through a pretty painful stint in hospital. COULD BE that's what it refers to-- the pain scale.

Most of your songs will, I predict, register an 8. OOOH ARE YOU GONNA TAKE THAT FROM ME?!

Hmm... I had a song idea, but I wonder if it would be in bad taste given that Rachel is laid up. It's a little raunchy. I guess that doesn't matter much though since I don't know her?

I reckon I can do a song that beats 8 on the pain scale

If I'm correct in my guess about who "Deep Throat" is this week, then that particular Rachel would probably think it hilarious.

If I'm wrong, um, you might get a funny story about it?

Either way, don't wuss out on us. Audiences respond to assertiveness and courage, so don't be a waffly songwriter!

Looking good, I have lyrics and music. Even if I have no more time whatsoever (and that is possible), I can send the pilot track in as low-fi Guy & Guitar.

Well, I better get on this then! Haha. I haven't written down anything yet, only a ridiculous basic idea.

I just got a brand new Rode microphone, so I'm hoping to have something in time for the deadline. Just waiting for the Inspiration Fairy to drop by and sprinkle some love dust on me.

Also isn't it spelled "Rachael?" Unless there have been multiple homophonic friends of Song Fight laid up in the hospital recently.

I have no idea who Rachel is, so I think I'm just gonna write a song for a fictitious Rachel. It will be a nice song. :)

Aw, dang it. I wrote a song, hadn't gotten around to recording it yet. I didn't realize that the deadline had passed.

Next time, I guess.
