should be able to draw these out to a couple 30 minute sets....'specially if I have to tune my guitar !!!
And, for the love of god, some people are paying a lot of money to travel for this show. The person who runs this event has a huge responsibility to keep it running quickly and smoothly, to make sure everyone gets their fair time slot, and to make sure everyone in the audience is having a good time. If you make the whole room wait while you tune a guitar on stage just because you feel the need to fill TWO time slots, everyone there will hate you.

Best way to get more stage time, FYI everybody, is to play along on someone else's set. You get to shine a little bit longer and bond with some folks to boot. Highly recommended. Pick that person whose songs you absolutely can't stand and go help him or her make something awesome anyway.
I'll turn down the large font, but I stand by it. I'm paying $450 round-trip to fly to DC just for this. The room will not be happy if you waste your time on stage, especially if it's just to milk it.
Okay. Standing down now. I ran the show last year; now it's your turn again.

Jon.
First off... Go fuck yourself !!!
If you bothered to actually read reviews, esp. The ones pleading for me to tune my guitar, well you would have sensed the irony of my posts.... Not even going to explain the 'promt' thingy...
Yeah, i stand by my initial comment too !!
No, I'm not coming... €1k for travel doesn't currently fit into my budget. You're going to have to wait for another opportunity to look at my passport.

I booked my tickets, by the way. I'll definitely be there both nights. JB, feel free to schedule me for whatever time slot is most convenient/available.

I haven't booked flights - I need to soon. But I'm currently on the edge of the Simpson Desert and the only time I get to a computer I am a bit pissed and the internet is a bit dodgy. Just trying to work out the best dates - I recall that Fluffy is arriving earlier in the week - what are you doing Jon? I am thinking of lobbing in on Thursday and leaving Monday afternoon. And still trying to work out if it is better to fly to NY or DC. Maybe arriving Wed night in DC and leaving mon arvo will work. Does that sound good?
I am expecting Jim Tyrrell (with Paco del Stinko and Niveous riding shotgun) to pick me up from a sleazy motel in suburban New Jersey and have a road-trip down to DC. I'll buy the tequila.
Maybe Roymond could be the designated driver. And we can stop in and truncate Bill away from his family vacation.

Yes, singing Bohemian Rhapsody!

1- One should not travel from another hemisphere and end up in New Jersey.
2- Singing Bohemian Rhapsody, huh. So, if I'm riding shotgun, that makes me Wayne. No way!
I'm working out a couple conflicts on that weekend. Can't commit yet, but I'm trying to make it happen.
I will say that it's my absolute #1 choice of things to do, if I get to choose.

Well, I wasn't really...just...we could sing my "Sunny Again". Consider it a rehearsal.
No really, if Jim and Paco are still up in the air, I'll rent a car now so we're not left in the cold. Just in case.

Make it a convertable.
Or maybe a Winnabego...there will probably be groupies.
