A Horse With No Name, no hesitation. That song was part of my personal mythology as a kid, every time I heard it on the radio I practically had a religious experience. It was one of the first songs I can remember being really, really into, and if it was playing I'd freak out and stop everything and listen. I guess the lyrics are a bit weirdly phrased. Those vocal harmonies still sound great to me.

Ventura Highway

My favorite thing about America, is their infomercial about songwriters. I once watched that for a couple of hours, fascinated with all the old footage.
