Hmm. I guess I'm one of those snobs who thinks they peaked with The Blue Album.

Honorable mention to "Only in Dreams." My pick is "The World Has Turned and Left Me Here."
"Warren Zevon would be proud." -Reve Mosquito

Stages, an album of about dealing with loss, anxiety, and grieving a difficult year, now available on Bandcamp and all streaming platforms! https://jonporobil.bandcamp.com/album/stages

I thought everyone thought that! Except the rarer snobs who think Pinkerton is better. I'm with you on the Blue bandwagon. Tempted to pick "Say It Ain't So" but I think I actually may prefer "My Name is Jonas" in the long run.

I saw them on the Blue album tour in LA. Awesome.
I saw them on the Pinkerton tour in San Francisco, more Awesome.
I saw them on the Green album tour, meh
then at Coachella, meh'

The Blue album is a better album
but my favorite is off of Pinkerton

El Scorcho! is my pick.

I love all the B-sides and unreleased tracks than came out in the Napster days also.

I don't know why, but it's like Matt Sharp makes the band, I loved the Rentals more than Weezer once Matt left.
Phillipso, Older Brothers, Semolina Pilchards, Zipline , Thank Glennny for the Frisbee, The Odoriferous Valley, The Worldly Self Assurance, Berkeley Social Scene, Very Gentle Knives, Daddy Bop Swing Set, GUNS, The Kraken Lives, Cavedwellers

I'm one of the rare Pinkerton snobs :-) I loved Blue Album, too, though. "Falling for You" is my pick. Usually that level of emo turns me off, but that album is special to me.

@glenny: I really dig that first Rentals album, too. I'd heard Rivers helped out with it, not sure if there's any truth to that.

I missed out on the Pinkerton tour cause I was a dumbass at the time. All my friends went. I for some reason didn't feel it would translate live. I'm sure I missed a hell of a show. They played a small venue here in Boston. I did catch them at small venue during the Green Album... but I was lukewarm on that material.
