Somehow I have managed to actually write mine the day BEFORE the live fight for once. It's stupid and I hate it.

Re: It's no rabbit foot (Good Luck Charm prefight)
I know how you feel. This time however, I don't know how I feel about the ditty I scribbled out between Honolulu and LA Wednesday afternoon/evening which aims to have a chorus in 7/3. I haven't revisited it yet since I've had my guitar in proximity. Slack. Alas today I have zero excuse. I'll see you at Rivington fluffy!fluffy wrote:Somehow I have managed to actually write mine the day BEFORE the live fight for once. It's stupid and I hate it.

I'm in, and I like mine.
Pepper Jane, maybe you would sing harmony on it? Since that is your superpower.

You guys inspired me at the Sidewalk last night - got home by 1:15am and was done roughing it out on paper by 2:55. If the production cavalry arrives on time, I am IN THE FIGHT!

I'm in with my stupidly over-the-top production on this stupid song.

BSS will be in, back from a 2+ month hiatus, our longest since 2010. We're only at 50% participation this time but it's good to back in the swing of things.

Jerks are in after a bit of a hiatus. As usual, we're tweaking things up to the very last minute.

I should have the live recordings from the show tonight. A little after the deadline but I'll send them in anyways.

Re: It's no rabbit foot (Good Luck Charm prefight)
Figured this was as good a place as any to post that I'll be getting back into the game soon. Recorded a song start to finish yesterday (not for anything SF! related), and it felt good. Learning Pro Tools is a bitch, but it's nice to have a reasonably decent recording setup again.

You'll need an art submission account, which is separate from the forum account, and then you can use that to log in at http://www.songfight.org/submitcover.phpElaineDiMasi wrote:How do we submit cover art for the fight?
Right now art account setup is really stupid and not easy to automate but if you want an account, PM me with your requested username and password (and DO NOT USE the same password as anywhere else, PLEASE).

Re: It's no rabbit foot (Good Luck Charm prefight)
It'd be better to send it to the performers to submit at their discretion - I'd definitely not want my live version to go in instead of the studio version I finished yesterday night!Niveous wrote:I should have the live recordings from the show tonight. Re: It's no rabbit foot (Good Luck Charm prefight)
Yeah, I think in the past if someone has recordings they would often say something like "If you want your recording, let me know" so that folks could procure the recording to do with as they please, which may or may not involve submitting it to the fight.fluffy wrote:It'd be better to send it to the performers to submit at their discretion - I'd definitely not want my live version to go in instead of the studio version I finished yesterday night!Niveous wrote:I should have the live recordings from the show tonight. Cavedwellers would like the live version submitted.
We are trying to finish off the studio version, but it'll be late if we finish it.

Also I refactored it a while ago. It used to be WAY worse.
