i just watched this movie a few days ago after having not seen it since i was a little kid. i'm pretty sure this movie is awesome. it seems like all of the "kids" movies nowaday are crap. this one is easily enjoyed by anyone.

i couldn't finish it for some reason. i got to the part where they were on the ship on the giant's head, then they were in some black place. i felt really lost so i just turned it off. it came packaged with 'monty python's life of brian', otherwise i'd probably have never seen it.

Isn't this a Terry Gilliam movie? I'm not sure, but I do recall that the sets and costumes were remarkable in this move. I enjoyed it a lot. Great flick. I might have to rent it again. It's been a while.

yeah. it was a terry gilliam movie. written by gilliam and michael palin and john cleese was in the movie as well. so it feels a bit like a monty python movie as far as the humor.

the sets are amazing to me. better than anything i can come up with off the top of my head. definitely one of those movies that i appreciate more now that i see it as an older dude.
