I'm taking the extra time to finish mine, and having a tremendous amount of fun doing it.

You won't have anyone to get assigned to you; signups were closed a while ago. Sorry!

Sorry you're hurting fluffy I hope you feel better soon. I have something in mind for any songs that don't get completed, so please don't let it be a source of stress! It's supposed to be fun, nobody's going to fault you. <3

Yes, as fluffy mentioned, the signups closed awhile back, but if anyone wants to volunteer to cover any of these songs, please feel free to do so and send them to me in the usual format. Tooth, if you want to simply select a cover you like from all the previously mentioned tracks, you are more than welcome to submit, but will not included in the "official" roster of participants. We'll still make sure anything you submit is included in the final web page of course.Toothdreams wrote: ↑Sun Apr 05, 2020 1:01 pmI think I may try to get in on this one!

I didn't see the extension until after I mastered a track. We'll call that the backup; think I'll take the time to workshop my vocals some more.

Haven't even touched this. Again, not in the best position to record anything, probably shouldn't have even entered. Not giving up, though.

I have an instrumental track I'm fairly happy with, still trying to get vocals that don't sound like garbage.

Just for fun, I made a Spotify playlist of everyone's selections.* Fee free to jam out to six hours of your songwriter friends' favorite songs:
https://open.spotify.com/playlist/5eLP6 ... cvd2_i6J4Q
*A handful of songs were not on Spotify, including, unfortunately 3 of Jocko Homomorphism's 4 selections, and a couple single selections from other participants.

Thanks Micah! Something to listen to at work today. Given that it's Spotify I want to cover the recurring Kroger commercial that pops up every 3 or 4 songs.

If that's not a sidefight worthy of existence I don't know what it.

Re: Gift of Music - COVID-19 Special Edition!
Ok Im in.
That was a lot of fun. I discovered a new band and have a new song stuck in my head. A pretty cool song too - thank you song chooser.
I initially thought it needed to be recorded as a 3-piece surf rock ditty - of the type of which I am fond. 2 weeks into recording I realised I really didn't have the necessary skills to do what I was hearing in my head - so I tried other approaches. Still wasn't sure what I liked - so a bit of splicing - "Strawberry Fields"-style ended up happening.
Anyway, I hope my chooser enjoys my mess - i had fun making it.

I'm in. My cat Yoyo made a perfectly timed vocal contribution about a minute eight into the song. Might be the best vocal on the track. Anyway, looking forward to all of the songs. Stay safe, peoples.
Bringin' the stink since 2006.
