I’m probably going to do a last minute entry using the only piece of music hardware I still have from back then (not counting the shitty mic).

I found my Zoom 505 pedal today! That + Impulse tracker + four-track + vocals recorded though a sock + some tiny Casio keyboard = my Classic 2000 sound.

Don't think I'll get a chance to make a song for this fight though alas. I may attempt this subchallenge for something else.

I had a weird experience this time. I mildly disliked my song all the way though the recording and production process. It's not uncommon for me to have big swings back and forth as the process goes along, but this was a first.

Brown Word is in, loud again. I didn't really reference anything from first fight except I put a reggae part in as one of the songs from first fight seemed reggae-ish. Reggae not being my forte, take with a grain of salt.

In. My song is nothing but a huge reference to one of the artists in that fight. I actually mention them all. *flex*

So, I couldn't not do something for the 20th, so I entered a thing.

It isn't a good thing, but it's a thing.

OK. Im in. Had a brilliant idea. I would write a song using the titles of previous songs as lyrics and samples of the original first Golf Punk fight as my music base. I have a lot of brilliant ideas.... At least this one didn't involve melted cheese.

Some of the sample's of drew's entry survived. The lyrics are dumb. It sound's like something a person new to recording submitting something dumb because the deadline is approaching. It reminds me of a bright-eyed young upstart from suburban Brisbane who thought he could have a crack at online song writing....

Circle of life.

I just want to make clear the lyrics to this week's WreckdoM song were written for the title Golfpunk hits the Skids, and not Golfpunk Rides Again. You may wonder why that is.

Sweeney and I did a song for this one. It's very 20 years ago!

Really? Most of the songs are just a deep bassline, a heavy backbeat on the 2 and 4, and some lyrics about oppression or jah or love or rejecting Babylon or I and I or spliffs.

Then again metal you can throw abstract gothic imagery over chaos and it works so I guess the challenge is how *specific* reggae is

I didn't get there for this one, sorry. I did write a few lines, but nothing that was worthy of 20 years.

The local pro's have locked themselves inside
they've seen and they have read the signs"

Hmmm looks like there might be two reggae golfpunks competing in this fight.
