My method for pairing flavors is I google whether two items are used together in any random recipes online. If they are, I assume it’ll all be fine. Six Degrees of Recipe Creation.

We bottled 29 bottles of red wine the other day. This batch is a Nebbiolo, and while it needs longer to develop in the bottle, it tastes promising so far.

Last night for dinner I made scrambled eggs with leftover veggies.

I'm sooo upset right now... I just texted my wife through Facebook if she could make me some of that amazin' banana pudding... (even posted that amazin' pudding pouring.gif and she said "Ewww" to me. Guess I'm not getting any amazin' banana pudding when I get home from work tonight... :(

That pudding looks amazing, JB. Too bad my husband hates bananas and all other tropical fruits with a passion...

I made Alison Roman’s roasted tomato and anchovy sauce, with the 3-hour slow-roasted tomatoes in olive oil and everything. It’s good, but not mind-blowing.

Deep fried and covered in cheese. What the fuck is wrong with (north) Americans (excluding Canada and Mexico)

That looks like complete shit. That is not food. I just cannot fucking..., I have no words...
Ands then you have to put a fucking blob of sour cream or whatever fucking obscene fucking greasy moistness that is... I really want to vomit.

That is truly fucking appalling.

Mmmm more for me

It’s not deep fried though. It’s sautéed chicken with black beans, green peppers, and salsa over tortilla chips. With cheddar sprinkled on top then baked until the cheese melts, with a dollop of daisy on top. Basically chilaquiles, you know, from Mexico, without the egg.

But you do you. :P

I know in Australia all you eat is witchetty grubs and Tim Tams, but you should really try nachos sometime, they're pretty fantastic

I tried some fake Aldi Tim Tams the other day. So effing disappointing. I wasn't as upset about it as the time I was recommended Penguins by the Tesco man after he heard me loudly celebrating when I found Vegemite on the shelf. He told me they were exactly like Tim Tams. They are not. They are yuck. I suspected the Aldi ones would be yuck too, but gave it a burl anyway because what else is there to do for fun now?

I admit that I would like to know why Australian sour cream is somehow greasy. Because, I mean, sour cream here in (north) America, including Canada and Mexico, doesn’t seem, in my experience, to warrant the adjective “greasy”...

It is kind of greasy feeling. I don't really like it and always substitute Greek yoghourt instead.

Exactly. It is simply wrong. Yoghurt is right. Simple as that.
And cheese is for eating with wine. Not melting on food.
