Awesome Death Record
I've never put out an actual vinyl record before, it's pretty exciting and I highly recommend doing so. If you buy one I will mail it to you.

Nice. Where did you get them done? I've been looking at a couple of short run vinyl places myself...

Wonderful, helpful staff, no upcharge for 180 gram or a second record color. We couldn't be happier with them. However, this plant is in Austin. Being able to pick up in person is a big plus, so I would suggest if you have that option that you take that.

Oh, heck. I've been wanting to do vinyl forever. What's the pricing like, and what's the minimal order size? All the places I've looked at are extremely expensive if you get only 100 done, and nobody does fewer than that (and I really don't expect to be able to sell more than a few copies of anything I put out, just based on prior history).

I'm not a big vinyl person so I bought the digital album. It rocks!

Re: Awesome Death Record
It is very expensive. We did a run of 300 which really seemed like the smallest reasonable run, and also very likely the only run ever. The whole process cost us thousands of dollars from recording, mastering, pressing, artwork, and we paid extra for gatefold and colored vinyl too. Heck, tho, we may never get to do this again. Long after I'm gone, at least a few of these will be floating around. If someone finds one at the thrift store they will buy it if for no other reason there's a naked bull man on the cover. If we do ever manage to recoup what we paid, we'll probably just do it again. It is really delightful to have.fluffy wrote: ↑Fri Sep 04, 2020 10:05 pmOh, heck. I've been wanting to do vinyl forever. Trumpression is an excellent term and the whole thing sounds great. Nice work.
