FREE Teenage Engineering audio/video sampler/sequencer for Pixel phones

Check out this app, it looks pretty mind blowing, and it's free! Only works on Pixel phones v4 and up.

Technically it should work on any recent Android device, but apparently Google has locked it down as a marketing/branding thing. Hopefully a hacked APK makes its way onto the Internet at some point because it's a really cool bit of software.

Wonder if it have to be hacked, or if someone here with a Pixel phone can just Backup the APK? I don't have a Pixel phone, so I don't know the answer to this. However there seem to be a few of these Pixel exclusives and I wonder if the actual APK just refuses to run at all on non-Pixel phones, hence your hacked APK. Not sure I trust any APK sites but if someone here had a Pixel...

It’s unclear as to whether the “Pixel exclusive” is maintained at the Play Store level or if there’s a check within the APK itself. Either way it’s only a matter of time before it’s usable on non-Pixel phones.

Also I bet there’ll be a billion mediocre clones of it soon too.

[EDIT] Oh and Koala Sampler handles the audio component of it but the TE app also does video sampling, which is what makes it really cool.
