Been wanting to trade my strat for one for years. All my twang is a lie

Resurrecting this thread to share that I finally got the dream telecaster. 2012 American Vintage '52 with U-shape baseball bat neck 🤠

As a side note, I did indeed trade my strat away last year - for an upright bass.

Since you brought this thread back to life... I ended up grabbing the sister guitar to my other Joegira posted about earlier in this thread a few years back...

Nice! I very nearly bought a Reverend tele a month or so ago. Seem like killer guitars.

I think I have the same one as Pigfarmer, I love my fender modern player tele for versatility. Got it used with all the decals, but they add character

Somehow I’ve missed this for years but here’s my Dakota Red partscaster, V to C 7.25-10” compound radius Musickraft neck, Gristle-Tone Tele pickups that do 60s voicing or 50s Broadcaster voicing, and a palm operated B-bender.

Also Zoe’s new Dodgers cap, I can’t control her terrible taste in baseball teams

speaking of which I have a very cool aged mint green 8-hole Tele pickguard that isn't right for my Tele bc it's a 5 hole pickguard. I did used to have it on my Tele before I changed it to the correct kind of pickguard, so it has whatever mojo I have, which might be a dealbreaker for you guys, haha. if anyone wants it lmk

Thanks! I don't think they're inlays, though. Stencilled on and varnished over. But yeah, I like them. Northern did that for all their guitars. Blue Note Music in Ottawa had a Northern copy of a Rickenbacker mounted over a doorway (probably still does), and it had them too. Unfortunately that bass was labelled Not For Sale, and I didn't try my luck.

By the way, I notice that everybody else's Tele has the high pickup exposed. Looks cooler, but also doesn't. One of those things.

I actually have a cover for mine, but I can't use it with the palm bender, as you can probably imagine hahaha
