Expensive.

There tend to be pretty good AirBnBs around though.

It’s gonna be tight. I may arrive Thursday late, work Friday remote, leave Sunday. But it’s worth it!

Who's planning on arriving a bit earlier? I want to have a late-summer barbecue and having a bunch of friends in town would be a great excuse. (It would probably not be exclusive to Song Fight! friends though.)

We haven't worked out our plans yet, but most likely the earliest we'd get in would be Thursday the 7th.

Also for folks who may not have noticed, since editing a post doesn't cause it to jump to the top of the "Most Recent" list, Spud has updated the first post of this thread with event details! Thanks Spud!

Hotels in Georgetown would probably be the best option location-wise since that gives you easy access to both Spud's and my place. Also for those who don't want to bother with a rental car, the #60 bus serves all three locations (although it's pretty slow).

Oh also https://seattle.eater.com/ is a great resource for finding places to eat. There's some really good places in Georgetown and neighboring South Park.

Lucky Witch and the Righteous Ghost (the full band) will be at the Seattle show. Can we request that we play on the Saturday? It would make flight scheduling easier for us.

Hi Spud,
I won't be able to be there until Saturday, so all the bands I play in will need to be that night: WSA, BSS, KSDBnS, Etc...
Thanks!

Not that I actually think anybody knows my songs that well or anything, but I feel like I could use some direction in picking a set list. So if anybody who is planning to attend would like to hear any particular Lunkhead song, I'm game to taking requests.

Fuck Work has been in my head a lot lately. Play that. Also, Deep Sub Reddit is catchy as hell.

“The man” just informed us we can work remote a couple weeks in August, so I’m gonna stay a little longer, at least to catch Spud’s Sunday event. Still arriving Thursday.

This is an 'almost committal' but at this time, I'm thinking I'd make it and would want to play on the 9th, specifically if that'd be okay. I'll update in a few days after a little more thought and discussion.
Boy this aged like milk.

So a few things here... it's not just one factor. It's a load of things on my head and it starts with planning a big move in March of next year so I have money on my mind and my mind on my money right now.

That aside, I haven't done a Songfight! song in a year and I really need to get on that so that I'm not just playing the same songs year after year. But that's not show-stopping, if-you-will.

But something came up and now we're about to have a new kitten. Like, this Friday my dad is bringing us a black kitten that he found in the road on the way up to his house in the north Georgia mountains. They already have four cats and reached out to us to see if we'd take her... and you don't always get the cat you need but you always get the cat that needs you.

My wife & I already have a cat that got kicked out of its last home because it couldn't get along with others so this is might get interesting. In either case, it rules out one of us from coming. I told her she could still go but she just looked at me funny.

I must conclude that I cannot make it this year, with a sad heart and a spirit of maybe-next-year!

Hoblit's backing out of Song Fight! because he's getting some... okay I can't bring myself to say the rest of that even ironically.

We'll miss you, but enjoy your new critter friend!
