The reason it was good was because it was live & spontaneously written. I'd rather move ahead with new stuff personally.Fried wrote:Are you guys gonna perform it in studio?

Just Mostess' awesome improvising skills. If he wanted to get the ball rolling on something like this, I would be into it.Fried wrote:ok, just an idea. I just really liked it.

If you were all together again at some point, you could do some *new* improvs and record them better

Next time, I will buy some recording gear and do it up right. This whole event was new for most of us. We live, we learn, we change.HeuristicsInc wrote:If you were all together again at some point, you could do some *new* improvs and record them better

Well, I managed to drop most of the concert into my Pro Tools Rig at home. Im going through now and putting some eq and Multiband compression and some limiting on it. Im wondering what we should post here on songfight and what you all want just for yourself? I have like 3 hours of music. The mostess songs we did as a band turned out real well and so did the Plat one. I think we were in the groove by that point. Fried and Gold standards Frozen Waste turned out real well. Something happened during Mostess's solo set, Somehow it stopped recording so I dont think I got his Frozen Waste, and you all know what happened to the platioliossest recording of that song.

I had to stare at this for a few seconds. I thought you'd forgotten how to type. Then I got it.Fried wrote:I will setup a l/p to my ftp for it.
Hear hear! The 3 seconds I heard over headphones sounded fabulous. I can't wait to hear your multibandedly compressed version.Fried wrote:Edit: Thank you for the effort and the recording and your musical contribution. You are Da Man!

Well..I quit recording after Frieds set. I apologize the recording wasnt done too professionally. If I could have been behind the computer the whole time I could have made sure everything was done in a professional manner. Having to rely on others (who arent familiar with the equip.)to press record and get levels at the proper setting is not a good way to do it and has resulted in an incomplete recording. Ill give you what I got though. By tonight I should have a few songs posted. Bolio, or Fried, i could send you a CD and you could post this stuff to, I dont think I have enough space for all of it.Bolio wrote:I think it should all go up. Even those 2 um.... Just thankful you recorded it man. Anything better than the files we already have is a real mean gravy. Hoping PLAT has space to host this for now. I'm outta space at the moment.
I can pick up the CD when you have it done & get the files to Plat. Also like to borrow that Hammond Organ Reference manual if possible. Gotta get the BC to sing like you did.

I have the space and a static IP FTP to connect to. I will host it gladly for a week or two.Bolio wrote:Just thankful you recorded it man. Anything better than the files we already have is a real mean gravy. Hoping PLAT has space to host this for now. I'm outta space at the moment.

Might be a good idea for us both to host them.Plat wrote:I'm definitely willing to host the surviving files for at least a few months depending on size (less than 600MB should be great). I've got at least 20GB free on my machine right now.
