I would like to express thanks to Mr. McHxaro for making a fantastic choice for this Hxarofest.

I would also like to thank everyone who took time out to make songs for this one, and for all of the other ones too.

I am glad to see that no one else did the one were working on. Would love to have gotten it done on before the incident, but equipment limitations kept us out in the end. Will throw down once we are back in business.

you know, perhaps one of the coolest things in the entire universe is listening to someone cover a song you wrote. to hear someone's voice or style you recognize, re-interpreting something you made in a new and different light. appreciating the time and effort that went into it. and doing it for nothing, without any real compensation other than the gift of giving.

my reviews would read something like "AWESOME X 10" for each of you. i plan on thanking each and every one of you individually. and speaking of reviews, i think i can safely say none of you guys will ever get a bad review from me again

one of the absolute best things (and really the main reason i still songfight and care so much about the place) is the amazing ability to collaborate with people around the world, some of whom i've never met in real life, seemlessly, easily, enjoyably through a really terrific community of talented folks. when i tell my local friends about this and play some of the music for them, it blows their mind that this is even possible and happening. if someone had told me 5 years ago that i would be recording with guys in london and british columbia and producing songs within a weeks time, i'd have wondered what you've been smoking. but this place has made all that happen and much more. thanks again.

My tune is way overdue... but I'll stick it up here when I get it finished Jack... I JUST had to pick a tune that I couldn't play.. you might guess which one that is.. but hold off....

I guess I should state this now, before I shrivel away in horror at the thought of all the great SongFighters I did NOT invite to participate. Please know that it wasn't intentional at all....I made a list and started sending out pm's...if I don't know you well, haven't run across your stuff in the fights I've been in or have listened too (which is definitely not all of them), your name may not have occured to me to ask. Please don't take offense by it, 'cuz none was intended!

So, again, my humble apologies to Charles, GlennCase and anyone else who happens to have been overlooked by this effort. By all means, if any of you have something to throw in, post it here!

I've missed your sweet tone buddy...such nice sounds. Do tell, what is that synth that reminds so much of Welcome to the Machine? Really sweet man!

Im glad you asked. Its an Arp2600 soft Synth. Herbie Hancock and Pink floyd Made that machine part of the popular culture. Arturia makes a sweet software version that I can't get enough of. You may also know this Arp 2600 known as "the blue Meanie". Its the instrument Roger Waters was using in the "Live at Pompeii" film at Abbey Road during the recording of dark side of the moon.

No worries, Mr. McHxaro. I can't imagine that throwing a project like this together would be very easy. You can't be expected to check in with everyone. I just wanted to clarify that I would have been happy to oblige if I had been asked, because Jack was amongst the first people on the songfight boards to give me what resembled positive reviews. By now I have actually learned to like the positive and negative reviews for different reasons.

I am mainly just glad that you organized this. I always love seeing this stuff.

I'm glad I got my track done, it was fun. I'm just starting to listen to the songs now, all good so far. Future Boy almost sounds like CHack in his cover. More impressions to come...

Wow, I like Abecedarian's cover. Can I submit the "Spalding Gray Is Missing" that I wrote with the same lryics (by Niveous, if I recall correctly) as another Jack Shite cover?

Ha, I love that "be well, I stole that from Ken" line. Nice cover Deshead.

Dylan Nau's song is indeed very slick.

holy crap this is good dude......hahahaha, you really played up the debra angle too, which is killer. i still remember being taken to task by c hack in that fight for ripping off beck

I just wanna say thank you to Abecedarian for covering SGIM on this Hxaro. I wrote this one and Jack did a great version and now so did you. (That makes 4 awesome versions of this tune!!!)
