Hey, that's pretty awesome. I just tried searching for "good song by Pegor" and I got no results. Oh!Egg wrote:<a href="http://www.altavista.com/audio/">http:/ ... /audio/</a>
Audio search tool. Type in marching band drum line and you're sure to find something.
And for the record, I played bass drum my senoir year of high school.

It cracks me up that the optional challange is only for the black fight. Those writing "A&A" songs: feel free to make fun of opera.
Hostess Mostess has finished recording our "Baseball vs. Opera". Mixing is another story.

Holy crap. Less than 12 hours after calling the recording session quits, I realize why my great hook sounded so sweet to me: it's practically a rip-off of a Pogues tune.
How horrible. Sorry Shane, but I gotta submit this one anyway. I stayed up too late to give up now.

Hee. I thought of that. But no mention of opera is made in The Bloody Hams interpretation of 'A & A.'Mostess wrote:It cracks me up that the optional challange is only for the black fight. Those writing "A&A" songs: feel free to make fun of opera.

Polynesian Opera will no doubt be victimized through this process. I can almost guarantee it.

I believe I will be involved in TWO collabs this week... I wasn't sure if either was gonna happen, and then they both did. Fortunately, I'm the sideshow freak on both, so it's not like I'm cheating and entering more than one or something... like, a half in two equals one right? uh... guys? girls?
While neither tune will be thrash metal, I thought it would be wise to pre-fight both with a little thrash metal hardcore posturing... here goes...
The Bloody Hams will assault your ears and mind with the pure force of violent POWER. AS your ear drums bleed and your oeidpusic controlled fan..(whoa. That was even more terribly spelt than normal. See. I am e v o l v i n g.) ..uh... where was I? Oh yeah.. so the Hams will crush your soul with the shear brutality of their 9 string guitars and 2 string bass attack.
I read alot of revolver magazine.
I think we MAY hear the return of Boon Liver this coming week too... yes, teh mighty Boon Liver: out to meld the sweeping passion of baseball with the mindless spittle drippings of opera. Sounds like pleasure.

My Thursday night VCI time alotment turned into stay up late fighting massive trojans and adware. Fell asleep during a long tenth scan. Ouch. I lost the war, too, and Cashback and WebRebates appear to have won. I'll bet it's a virus somewhere.
Ad-aware, Spybot, NAV and X-cleaner couldn't even kill it in safe mode.

After a 'so annoying it would be hilarious if it hadn't happened to me' comedy of mixing errors, I have finally got my act together to submit a 'Baseball versus Opera'.
Very weird one, this. i decided to stop saying how much I love electronica and try and reflect it in my song this time. The weird bit is how much it's come out in lighter-waving territory ....

Well, once again I flip fights. Polynesian Honeymoon is out; A & A is in, and submitted as of a few minutes ago.
I don't know if I bring the rock, but I certainly bring something...um...unique?
EDIT: Okay, I know this is a stupid thing to say when you all haven't even heard the song yet, but...even though it's a goofy little song, I'm really proud of the organ solo I play at the end, not only because I like how it sounds, but because it was a first-pass improvisation with no post-recording timing or note corrections. I almost feel like a musician today. Heaven knows what I'll feel like tomorrow.

This happens far too often to me I'm afraid. I wrote an awesome "Nothing Less than Everyting" only to realize it bore a strong resemblance to a Travis song. Then of course there is my <a href="http://www.songfight.org/music/zero_2_p ... p.mp3">Lay Lady Phantom song</a>, and I'm not even a big Dylan fan.Mostess wrote:I realize why my great hook sounded so sweet to me: it's practically a rip-off of
I heard an interview with Paul McCartney a while back, and in it he was talking about his song writing process. He said that if he came up with a song to quickly, he was afraid that it was already someone else's and he didn't know it yet. That was a bit reasuring.

I have submitted for Baseball vs. Opera, and believe I have met the optional challenge.

My own Honeymoon wasn't as far out as this. Except for the Gaudi. Oh, and Tonamel...play it backwards.
