I'm guessing it's a reference to the movie "It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World".

I suspect it is, too.

Which explains why Milton Berle called from beyond the grave to ask if he could do backing vocals on my entry.

Shame I can't turn it in because I'm still locked in this hardware store basement...

How about we go over it again, slowly?

Okay, it's like this: we each get a share for being here...

(I could go on, but I can't go on)

You should see a new rockin' collaboration this week called Shovel Sitting Down. I think we'll do a Tanker Truck song. You may also see the first 8LO track in a while. That may be pre-empted by another Vapour Can Ideas track, if Mr. Caravan Ray is up for it.

With a title like Tanker Truck, It makes me think that WreckdoM is being baited into an International Terror watchlist.

Madison, WI is sometimes called the Mad City by annoying radio DJs.

I'm sure it has nothing to do with all the drinking that goes on during Wisconsin football season.

having just listened to all three fights this week, I think the optional challenge for next week should 'Rock the f**k out, already'.

Obviously it's not a challenge I'd be able to accept ....

I need words for "Tanker Truck." Please? Anyone? I want to actually win one of these.

Ask J$, he's a wordsmith and has the hot hand right now fresh off of his big win last week. Congrats by the way Johnny, it was much deserved.

well, i don't know if it rocks, but my entry for "one beautiful summer" is definitely gonna be more raucous than my "i meant to remember." the vocals are still pretty fragile sounding so far, but the music is loud.

i also have an idea for "mad city" that's absolutely ridiculous. can you submit two songs in one week? i'm feeling frisky.

The FAQ does say "To maximize Song Fight's resources for everyone who wants to participate, please limit your entries to one song per week" (their bold not mine) but you could always post a link to your second, less preferred song, in the relevant review thread if you want a little bit of feedback, post it on somesongs or, if you have time, get involved in a collaboration ...

PS I am looking forward to hearing you rock out... I can imagine (from hearing your other songs so far) that this will be a good thing!

Um, I don't want you to look forward to it too much. Like I said, the vocals and lyrics are still pretty soft (although they SOUND better), i've just surrounded them with more noise. So don't be disappointed if you're disappointed.

(And I'm scrapping the other song. I might as well spend as much time as possible cleaning up the one i've got. But thanks for the tip.)

(Anti-flame disclaimer: I'm not complaining or trying to make criticism or anything, I'm just asking just what I'm asking. I would like to know the answer, that's all, nothing more.)

Will the next deadline stand as it is, with the current fights' songs being up 4-5 days rather than 7?
