Apologies if this overlaps with any other thread, but could some one please tell me a free mp3 converter to WAV or AIF for the Mac?

iTunes. Go to iTunes:Preferences, Importing tab:(popup menu with file type choices), choose the format and settings you want, click "OK". Go to your Library, select the MP3(s) you want to convert, Advanced:Convert Selection to... and presto.
