"Dear Marcus Kellis

It's pronounced 'Do a song yourself some time this century, already'

Thanks

Everybody in 'Jalopy'."

Although I think I am in for June Bug (well I just recorded some vocals for it.) We shall see. This is the last definite chance I will get to record in the next six weeks, so I'll make sure it's terrible :)

I have to do 'Jalopy' - there's just something about driving an 18 year old Toyota with nearly 200,000 miles and nary a straight body panel on it that will make you think you could write a song with that title (of course in the song the car will be something cool like an old Fairlane or something. Toyotas are never cool).

I'm gonna try to be in for June Bug. Since my B-day is this month and soon it seems only fitting. I'm gonna try to do a collab.

Or "HAA-lo-pee," HAA like the "ha" in hat, lo like the "lo" in slow, and, pee like in whiz. Jalopy, the art of spicing up Mexican food.

Any of you folks around NYC tried "Los Dos Molinos?" It's a family restaurant (three or four locations) here in Arizona, hottest Mexican food around. A few years ago, the kids who were running the LDM in Mesa decided to try their luck in the big city. The Mesa location has re-opened, but my understanding is that the NYC one is still in business, too... 119 E 18th St.

There is a remote chance that Boon Liver is doing something for this coming fight...or at least rumour has it.

I didn't like the take I did so I am going to do it again. Assuming the next take is better, You'll have it tomorrow.

No, not fleeing the country, but upping sticks to a different city for a month with work. I have no idea if I will have the time / setting to record properly (though I do have a spanking new laptop that might make things easier). I will try to make it all work, but worst case scenario no music for a month. Then I'm off on holiday as soon as I get back ....

I'm in the Jalopy, possibly in cow form, possibly reincownated. Possibly not at all.

I recorded a June Bug, but there's a lot wrong with it. If I'm this tired tomorrow you'll just have to suffer through a real bad short song. It's under 2 minutes of pain, so it won't be too bad.

In for Jalopy if the in-store recording session goes well tomorrow.

Semi-autobiographical.

This is roughly 24 hours notice that a few of us will probably be frontin' this week about our Jalopy.

That is all.

Wow. Y'all might not believe it, but I wrote a piece this week for an ongoing project with some friends of mine, and I came up with the title 'Junebug' for it.
I don't know if maybe it was in the back of my mind from seeing it here, but I honestly had no recollection of it being one of this week's titles. Go figure. I'm not submitting it though, because it's got no words, and it doesn't feel quite complete. Ah well, it's enough for the purposes of the other project though.

So, Boss recorders are shit.

I am therefore out.

Maybe I can get parts of the track up somewhere eventually.

Fucking Boss.
