This is more seconding Mogosagatai and specifying that it is Phunt Your Friends which is in.

I mean, he's submitted as so many mysterious pseudonyms that I figure we should just count the phunts as one entrant for this sidefight. We're mega-in.

I don't know some of you that well, and that's probably the case for more than just me. So if any of youse cats don't know the person to whom you're assigned that well, send me a PM and I'll PM the person and ask for a short bio or something, maybe a funny little questionaire that'll provide some lyrics. I don't know. It shouldn't be that big of an issue because you can always just bullshit around (I think that happened a few times last year, just have fun with it). I'll probably close down membership and assign songs next weekend or so.

well, last time we were able to choose three conditions for the song to be written about us. that helped shape the song to the tastes of the subject. maybe you could do something like that.

i'm just posting. i'm not in this year.

no. it wasn't secret. the assignments were posted right in the thread. j$ did my themesong and he sent a survey for me to fill out and used that to help write lyrics. i did the same for feldspar. making it anonymous would probably make it more difficult.

Oh um I forgot about that shit. That's a good idea. Let's do that. I dunno if it should be all hard-and-fast. Use your discretion, but if you can fandangle the mentioned things into the song then all for the better (maybe aim for using one or two or three of them in the lyrics, but if you just use them as inspiration that's cool too):

THING NUMBER ONE ABOUT MARCUS KELLIS:
I'm eighteen, like the Alice Cooper song.
2: I like Arrogant Bastard Ale.
3: I'm a Political Science major.

I'll do the assignments publicly too, I guess, then. Orr... maybe I'll just tell everyone who they have and who has them, and it'll then generally be a surprise to people that aren't parties one or two.

Last year it wasn't vice-versa.

All the information you need about me can be seen at the various links below this amazingly well-drawn horizontal line:

Yeah, last year, everybody posted three things in thread that they wanted mentioned / regfrenced / incorporated in their song (if they wanted) then whoever got assigned that person could come here for reference material. This way the assignment can stay 'secret' until the songs are revealed.

my three things:

1. the Powerpuff Girls
2. A section/line/phrase in a foreign language
3. The phrase 'enemy penis'

See, easy :)

It won't be this year either. Forgive my kind of still drunken post.

OKAY! assignments have been doled out. if you make crappy songs i reserve the right to kick you in the ass. do um proud. for the gipper. or something. i don't know. whatever. tentative due date: OCTOBER 3. i'll put that in the first post too. i'll send another round of pms or two before the deadline. try for october 3 but if you forget and have to do a crappy song or we have to delay posting it, then we'll delay posting it if you promise to do a not-crappy song. ah... yeah, i guess that's it. DON'T FLAKE, JERKS. sorry if you hate your assignment or your assignmentee! i did all i could.

pm me if you can't host it yourself. it's no problem if you can't, but if you can then please do so. if you have to have people click stuff and jump through hoops and eat a bug and give a blowjob to a banana to download your song then just send it to me and i'll host it.

I think my personality comes across pretty strongly in all the stuff we submit.

Three things?

I'm creepy and awkward.
I like detective music like the theme music for The Pink Panther, Peter Gunn and Inspector Gadget.

And something about Mogosagatai:
He's still without a computer because Katrina ate our plans for the future.

Good luck, you poor bastard.
