Read about this new-ish plug in for Firefox in Wired yesterday.

Grease Monkey

It lets you program your own, or run other people's scripts that help make web content and how you get it your bitch. Pretty neat. Check out the list of scripts already available.

The band, The Sun, has made a music video that is garnering a lot of buzz but it's probably never going to get to MTV. But it's an interesting li'l concept, that's for sure. Here's a link to the video for Romantic Death:

http://download.wbr.com/thesun/rd.mov

I warn that PARENTAL DISCRETION IS ADVISED....which of course will only make y'all download it faster. If you like the song, or even realize there is one playing along with the video, you can check out the Sun's myspace page for more tunes.

Heh, clever.

(Though I daresay they were inspired by the Ann Summers ad from last Christmas. Note: link is probably not work-safe)

I concur. I can definitely see where it was inspired but the Sun definitely took it to the next level.

Somedays I'm a little slow. This time I was really really slow.

I was recently checking out the Red Meat Construction Set (I had made a birthday roast for 2 of my friends last week there) and there was a comic up called: "Now Playing in New Orleans: Katrina and the Waves". And all I thought was "Who remembers that band?". SO SLOW.

Howdy. Some days I'm just a little crazy. Case in point: I have a Live Journal. My wife decides to be a sweetheart and pay for it. So suddenly I have the ability to costumize the thing. So I have to find a suitable moodtheme. My first thought...Iron Chef. But alas, no one has built the Kaga filled moodtheme I desired. So I searched and searched until I got this wonderful idea- I'll make one of my own. But of what? Then it hit me! SONGFIGHT MOOD ICONS!!!!

Well, it's a good picture, and every time a co-worker came by and said "who the Hell is that?" I got to regale them with stories of SongFight and SFLive Boston.
Plus I'm weird.

You take that back. TAKE IT BACK!

No, actually, I guess it's true. Hoblit DID play my guitar at the Zeitgeist. That was pretty cool. I should probably do a Hoblit cover or something now.

Yes, yeah...I s'pose that qualifies as weird...yet..oddly flattering. But from now on..when they ask... tell them that I'm some super anti-famous independent rocker and that you can only get my music from websites on the internet. (You wouldn't be lying!)

note: I still think you should have won the songfight live!

no offense to the party that did :-)

That's nice of you, but C Hack's "I Know My Rights" was awesome. A well-deserved win, and I'd love to hear it again if anyone has a copy of it. I know The Jazz is in possession of some video, but is stalled pending acquisition of equipment. Anyone got audio of the live fight they can cook down?

I bookmarked it in case somebody came over to my apartment tripping balls on LSD. Which will likely never happen.

I was going to say you're both sad, then I realised I've just seen it myself so I can't. Music is the only cure.
