This kid once asked me to play him in that Pod Racing game for the n64 at CompUSA once and I kicked his ass, obviously, and he said something that sounded a lot like that. God I kicked his ass. I must have lapped him like twice. At LEAST.

Ummm, thanks for the review.

I didn't say that I wasn't willing to change my outlook if given an effective reason to. There is nothing in my first statement that even hints at my having a closed mind. It DOES show that I have an opinion.

A reasonably popular opinion, I might add. It doesn't make it right, necessarily... but it probably is.

In case you need the definition, this is dictionary.com's meaning for the word ignorant.

ig·no·rant Pronunciation Key (gnr-nt)
adj.

1. Lacking education or knowledge.
2. Showing or arising from a lack of education or knowledge: an ignorant mistake.
3. Unaware or uninformed.

Some trolls can be reasoned with. Tough to say if PiGPEN is really a troll in comparison to some other candidates we have had in the past.

There is still a (slight) chance that PiGPEN can come out of this in such a way that he would actually be missed if he ever chose to leave this community.

Granted, the gap would appear to be closing... but nevertheless...

You almost know how to use proper punctuation.

For the record: I did not quote the dictionary. I referenced it. There is a difference.

I don't agree with the lyrics or the message it conveys, but I am not seeking to censor it either.

I am curious, however. Did either of you honestly expect a different response from the one you are getting?

The review is pretty spot-on. Though I don't think it's your best - I preferred "I am Tempted"

The song just isn't very good. Music really is dull, a lot of the rhymes are adolescent and your timing in delivery isn't sharp enough. I think I can see what you were trying to do and I like the idea behind it - but you really didn't pull it off.

There's always place for confronting satire - but this effort is a long way from justifiyng the the way you chose to present it. It's silly to get defensive about negative comments here. You know you deliberatly set out to shock.

If you are are going to be deliberately provocotive - you need to have a very, very good song or message so you don't come off sounding like a racist/dickhead/whatever. It's a pretty difficult thing to pull off, I know - I often attempt the same sort of thing myself - and I don't think I've ever been really successful. Even the likes of Billy Bragg/Chuck D/Bob Dylan/Eminem - though they are spot-on occaisionally - often come across sounding like complete tossers.

Well, I'm only responsible for the middle parts of the song and the French joke which I regret because it was said in jest at the top of my head. I'm French. They're non-sensical lyrics. They're not meant to be taken seriously.

I've shown lots of people the song; several of them black. No one thought anything ill of it other than maybe the rhymes sucked, but that's nothing big. No one got offended, that's for sure.

PiGPEN - Well edited, nicely timed and not boring (shocking and funny within context). Dead-on - wet niggas = dry humor.

I will take PiGPEN at his word that he isn't racist. His explanations are crystal clear to me. Can't fellow musicians and artists examine this work without hurting each other through non-productive banter and threats? Not everyone is sated with prayer or commercial news, but we all can mourn from the same pain, embarrassment and guilt. PiGPEN's video definitely shows an active sensitivity to the viewers perspective - yes, to be abhorred, but also to understand our mortality and maybe insecurely laugh at ourselves.. in a rap format.

on your mom's work pc (i don't think she'd appreciate you saying such nasty things about her. i.e. the wetted comment. you should probably clear all your cookies so she doesn't accidentally read that.).

you forgot to resize the pictures so they wouldn't be blurry. it's ok. your sister had to type her book report on indian in the cupboard.

We live thousands of miles apart. Language clearly evolves with time, and locale.
So I do not know what your double meaning is, that is true.
Wikipedia did not have a definition for "Wetted". Not that I found. So, what am I missing?

I watched your video, and it elicited a response, from me. i don't perceive a "group" of people for and against, I'm letting you know my opinion. People don't agree, they don't think the same things. Another obvious truth.
Still, it's way better when they strive to understand.

I don't understand why you made that. You haven't even bothered, really to explain it other than saying "entertainment". So I guessed. Art? Politics? Racism?

If you dont' care what anyone thinks that have opinions contrary to your own, you wouldn't respond.

Telling me I'm not interesting and then taking the time required to post a long response seems contradictory. trying to sublty buddy up with the whole "don't lie to me you know you're having fun with this" is meaningless. I am engaged in this, it's not really fun.

Now, I looked up a word, it's your turn. Go look up "art". Here., I'll help you. http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=art Well what do you know? WE start playing the definiton game and you come up a tad short.

Feel free to explain your intentions. Maybe they are valid, and I don't get it, so be it. IT doesn't change how I reacted... and clearly you care. Obviously I do too.

Hm, just found this.

You could at least have tried to be funny. This just sucks.

...I was going to direct you to some comical examples of what you perhaps were going for (or should have been), but... meh. Apparently you're a cock, and I probably won't enjoy talking to you.

some people confuse freedom of speech with class and tact. just because you have the right to say it, doesn't mean you should, or you should at least expect the repercussion of your actions.

that said, if i ever met you pigpen, i'd kick you in the teeth just so i'd never have to hear your dumb ass shit again.

Uh, my lovelies, let's step awaaaay from the personal threats and instead focus on who does have the right to make tactless humor. WE are lucky to have great diversity, talents and artisanship among us as well as great passions! This video wasn't made as a personal attack - rather an impersonal one, mocking gangstaland music and the horror of Katrina.

I think that Katrina will eventually be exploited far worse by future musicians.. perhaps another "Candle In The 900MPH Wind" type thingie.

does "the horror of katrina" really need to be mocked? nothing about this animation is funny.

i personally think that everyone here that is offended by this idiocy disguised as humor and art to post a link to it in as many public forums as possible. let the world see what a complete asshole this person is, seeing as he was stupid enough to use his real face in the animation. surely someone will eventually recognize him (or seek him out) and open up a good can of whup-ass on him.

that would be sweet poetic justice i think.

Now listen here, because Reggie Dallas has just been kicking back watching this all unfold and it's about time he said something. Here's the bottom line: Piggy boy, you made a song as flaccid as your scrawny little peckerwood, y'dig? That's what's really offensive here. Next time show some real balls, maybe some drunk lady'll toss you a pair of undies to help your chest hair come in. I mean, come on, you have to treat that mic like it's a beautiful female mouth and it's your last chance to schedule your ship to dock tonight. Otherwise you're just gonna have to throw all your cargo overboard, y'dig? And nobody likes a jerk-off, hear?
Gemini, drive that funky soul.
