Sounds very Presidential to me. At least Clinton type Presidential.

All respect to Mr. Mostess and all but no one, and I mean no one should be compared to the late great Mr. Lennon in the context of this thread.

Bjam however might be a good candidate for being the Yoko of Songfight.

And yes, I mean that as a compliment.

She needs to break up Octothorpe to cement this position though!

Now see to me, this is more offensive and in need of more explanation than the Yoko comment. Is it because both of their names begin with the same 2 consonants? Anyway..

To explain my reference, I think Yoko helped cement the Beatles legacy as one of the greatest bands in history, and gave everyone a fall guy for their demise all in one person. OK, follow me. What if the Beatles had kept going? They would be in the same league as the Rolling Stones, a band I like and all, but also a band that has hung on too long. Instead the Beatles quit, never re-united (ala "The Who) never did one last tour, one last album, one last anything together as a band. (Don't include the 2 songs from the anthology CD. Adding tracks to a dead man's incomplete songs with or without his widow's consent doesn't count) The point is after they quit, everyone always wanted more. You always have to leave them wanting more. So in that context, whether you believe Yoko was at the heart of the breakup or not, she is at least involved in helping the Beatles find a graceful way to exit. And that in my mind is a good thing. Hence, Bjam is a good thing.

And I'm not trying to imply that her songs sound like Yoko's or that Bjam will be the demise of SongFight! Let's not extrapolate my theory in that way. My only intention was to in a funny kind of way, admittedly unsuccesful as it was, say that I think her involvement here is a good thing.

That is all. Bjam is the good thing of SongFight.
