we all need love
so im excited and eager to hear everyones song. this is the first time ive written and submitted a song to songfight, so i hope i did everything right... haha, i started recording the song the night before the deadline (cause i had just heard of songfight that day) and i only had a few hours to record the song. theres some things that i wish i could change in the finished product, but oh well. it will be fun to see how everything turns out, and im looking foward to hearing everyones songs. good luck!!

Send me what you're smoking.
Hockey is a game played on grass by sweaty girls in neatly pleated skirts or gentlemen in tight shorts and headbands. Fat Canadian bastards sliding around on ice hiting each other with sticks is a different game altogether.
It's like saying that nude Twister should be just called 'Twister' and the original version of the game be referred to as 'Twister With Clothes On' (actually, that's not a good example since nude Twister is probably far more common).
Anyway - since the major hockey playing nations comprise India, Pakistan, Germany, The Netherlands, South Korea, Great Britain, Argentina, Spain, New Zealand, Australia.... - you'll find that a significant proportion of the world's population will agree with me.
Honestly - I hate to say it, but you're starting to sound like an American, with their baseball "World" Series!

Google hockey.
Throwing out some American reference implying that they are the only people capable of an ego-centric perspective is in itself, ego-centric. I doubt that if you said "hockey" that people WOULDN'T think of ice, unless you phrased it in a way that would force them to think field.
Saying "Canadian ICE hockey" players is redundant. You didn't say "players with hockey sticks up their ass". If you had written that, THEN I'd have to concede to your perspective, which is certainly valid in a country that has to rely on Junior B exports just to run it's national ICE hockey team. I'm fairly certain the Australian basketball league also heavily relies on imports.
So you see, when arguing semantics, it's all in the phrasing.

Dude, chill out. It's not lame. It's the way it is.
The operators ...(god... how often does someone explain this anyway..maybe we need a post it... maybe there IS a post it but I've forgotten...anyway)
1. This is a free from financial obligation entry site. That means you get to send in a song, for free. You get listeners, reviews, SERVER SPACE in the archive, for FREE.
2. The operators are human beings who, like you and me, have to pay rent, eat, do laundry, engage in sexual activity, you know, people stuff. This takes time. They have lives.
3. They always come through, they are very respectful of the people who have joined on to THEIR site, and basically, are cool, reasonable people. Unless you start a useless thread and post tons of nonsense that ends up getting deleted cause its so annoying... doo di doo di do... [/looksaround]
4. Lists are fun, but I always feel obligated to keep adding points even when the point is made just so the list has some gerth.
5. If your so bored waiting, go listen to me. That's what you should be doing anyway. Listen to one song by each artist in alphabetical order.
6. Your song better be good for the amount of impatience you're showing.
7. I'm not sure why I started adding spaces between the points, but it looks nice eh?

Dear Jordan,
Sometimes these things take time. Calm down and wait. If you are impatient for people to hear your song, here:
http://mp3download.myspace.com/index.cf ... d=32904405
And next time, please realize that you have just walked into a community and just like real communities, if you walk in off the street and immediately come off as annoying, no one is going to like you. Show a little patience and maturity, wait like everyone else, don't pout and say Songfight is lame and when the songs are finally posted you had better thank all those who are willing to sit through your song and review it.
Sincerely yours,
Niv
